Well to be fair, the Authorities / Management need to fully study the "Friends and Favours" guidance written by one Gianni Infantino someyears ago. It is believed that an Addendum has been created post World Cup 2026 and is currently in print

Michael Carrick is under pressure at Manure.
The owners are aware the data actually supports Carrick but are concerned with results.
They have earmarked Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler as a potential replacement
But the cost of sacking one and hiring the other would be huge

England duty strikes again. Just glad it wasn't ours (for now, fingers crossed). On a side note, I really wanted us to sign him when he was at Bristol City. Should've signed him instead of Aaronson imo.

Re: Premier League 26/27 Season
If Michael Carrick is sacked Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler is considered the standout candidate.
Former Inter and Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is also a candidate (though his combustible nature is a concern).
Previous considerations Eddie Howe and Kieran McKenna are also options
However Carrick maintains immense support inside the Manure dressing room with frustration mainly directed above him. Sources at Manure say the dressing room feels the job Carrick did last season was under appreciated and the board failed to back him sufficiently

They haven't, they haven't had success since Ferguson and he did it with kids and legally bought players under the rules at the time

That's not quite true SH, Ferguson bought a lot including Keane, Schmeichel, Bruce, pallister, veron, Rooney,Mclair, van nistleroy ,all for significant high fees and a few gems like Cantona and irwin for next to nowt, the list is too long to continue, then put a few kids a time in NOT all at once. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2026 3:33 pm They haven't, they haven't had success since Ferguson and he did it with kids and legally bought players under the rules at the time

They did, pre PSR... there's zero wrong in buying trophies if the rules allow, we tried it under O'Leary and Ridsdale.Bon wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2026 3:41 pm That's not quite true SH, Ferguson bought a lot including Keane, Schmeichel, Bruce, pallister, veron, Rooney,Mclair, van nistleroy ,all for significant high fees and a few gems like Cantona and irwin for next to nowt, the list is too long to continue, then put a few kids a time in NOT all at once.

We did try it, then.qhen.the financial crash came we were made scapegoat whereas Liverpool were let off, they were more in debt than we were but allowed somehow to continue. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2026 4:49 pm They did, pre PSR... there's zero wrong in buying trophies if the rules allow, we tried it under O'Leary and Ridsdale.
I personally think if you spunk billions on winning something you've actually bought it but that's just me.

Re: Premier League 26/27 Season
We weren't made scapgoats, Ridsdale panicked and had a fire sale, blood in the water at that point... other teams rode it out. We weren't punished till later and under Bates who took us into admin for his own benefit... our penalty was for going into admin. We were never punished by the EPLBon wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2026 5:01 pm We did try it, then.qhen.the financial crash came we were made scapegoat whereas Liverpool were let off, they were more in debt than we were but allowed somehow to continue.

It's not an amatuer aesthtetic anymore... I've no issue with spending to win, every team does it to a degree. As long as they stick to the rules.
