No Nunez thread - I'm shocked

I was quite shocked by this actually.. I have no opinion on the player really, as i only saw him in the Cardiff game, but i just assumed that he was cabbage coz Simon never played him.

If Simon DOES see something in..... give him a run lad!

there seems to be a movement towards building for the future as well as 2nd division survival in the clayton and other things that are happening now - this is good -no fire sales - planning and and a vision of the future -- or am I just waiting for a car crash

I have no opinion on Nunez......... until he starts playing for Leeds (not wee cameos every so often). When I can see him doing the biz for us, then I'll get excited. I once got excited about Fat Brolin coming to play for us, what happened there

He is useless as a shadow stircker and as an AMC is too light, he needs to be anchored down and unleash his fireball of death at correct times, IMO if this lad buggers off after year I WILL call grayson a twat for not giving him the chance.
he does need molding into a more central midfielder.

don't understand this contract renewal. have seen the youtube videos and his cameos for leeds but just seems like a waste of money to me?? if he was good enough he would be playing in the 1st team or at least have started a game! wages could have been saved for someone who will actually play. as for building for the future, he is 25 years old, will soon have reached his best. not to mention we've only given the lad until the end of this season so far?? thats not what i would call building for the future.

I have been a fan since before we even signed him, during the CONCACAF competition where he single handedly took apart the USA and I believe, ended up top scorer in the competition overall. The same USA team that England struggled to a draw with in the World Cup.
His fire and skills (and a shot like Lorimer's!), had me mesmerised. I remember thinking back then - if only we could get a player like that...
I'm sure Simon hasn't kept him on without a plan for the future.
Shame he can't play against Arsenal - he'd rip their midfield a new one!

He scored a 90th minute equaliser for Honduras against Costa Rica in their latest Copa Centroamericana.
Remember watching him play in the world cup and being baffled as to why he was then dropped to the bench for their second game. They were struggling, so brought him on and got back to making it a tougher game for Spain.
He then started their last world cup game and they managed a draw with Switzerland.
He looked like a livewire. He closed down and tackled well. People make too much of stature. Billy Bremner wasn't very tall, but he could tackle with the best of um.
I can't wait to see him playing for Leeds again.
Some friends watched last nights game online. They said he only played the last half an hour, but was awesome.
