watching Celtic signing off in style - 3-0 at HT v Hearts

Hooper (hattrick today so far) looking sharp - would love to see him at ER - likewise Ledley and young Adam Matthews, but swapping Champions League for the Championship

Missed the boat on Hooper when he was at Scunny, couldn't afford him then & Ken will tell you we can't afford to spend £2m on a decent striker now unless Warnock has managed to sweet-talk him since his arrival at ER

Hooper gets 5 and almost had 6 right at the death.

While i agree with you, it makes me wonder why Ken allowed Blackwell to spend the money he did in 05/06? Correct me if im wrong, but didnt Leeds sign Hulse for around 1.2 million? and there was also Healy and Blake who i dont think were cheap either

True - but the talk yesterday was of Celtic investing in an effort to reach the group stages in the belief/hope that the money spent will be recouped by the money earned.

Potentially a risky strategy, but I also think investment is needed to maximise the opportunity afforded by the current plight at Ibrox i.e. to put a lot of distance between the 2 clubs so that when Rangers are - and they will be eventually - back on their feet they will be playing serious catch-up.

Celtic are too well-run - and the Rangers experience too big a lesson to ignore - for the Parkhead board to be too daft.
