Would be a terrible signing for me. I would confidently predict that he would get an injury during pre season. Small squads require robust, fit players. Leave well alone for me and try for Scholes. He comes from the right club. Has the right hair and is the finest player of his generation. I realise its pie in the sky but an influential old player like Scholes is the only old player we should bring to ER (imo).

me too Lynchy, but it would have to be on some sort of pay as you play deal, because he will likely spend more time in the treatment room than on the pitch

never said he would, and I think it unlikely he'd accept any sort of deal that we can actually afford. but IF he did I don't think he'd be a bad signing
