When I saw that on twitter I phoned the Commercial - was told that "Peter is away since Monday. Not sure when he will be back"...

IMO I would have thought he would have to wait and release a press statement by the club rather than just confirm it with anyone who just rings his pub.

Maybe i'm being nieve but i'm prepared to give Bates the benefit of doubt this time that takeover negociations are happening now, you never know our patience maybe rewarded if a deal is struck. Should the takeover bid fail & god forbid Warnock is restricted from bringing in the necessary players required to make our squad competitive only then my patience will turn to extreme pessimism as my thoughts would turn to fighting relegation next season

Someone, on another forum, whose opinion and sources I respect, keeps stating that things are happening, that there are 2, maybe 3 interested parties and the process is ongoing.

With the LUST statement yesterday, I totally believe there are negotiations happening but I don't think the multi-billionaire people are there. Think it will happen but will be totally under-whelming well it does, because of the hype.
