They are luxury players, but he sees the immediate need of the pace we require.

Think we have a very decent side and certainly good enough to challenge for promotion. I would be amazed if Bates showed his face much this season after this debacle.

We have a decent side, but Warnock has said himself that we need a couple more players, and that they need to be quality signings rather than decent ones. The TO was giving hope that we might be able to acquire a couple, if not before the season then at least some way through.

With Bates at the helm I seriously doubt we'll see any more players come in. And maybe lose McCormack?

Hope we don't get the same muppets turning up as last year creating a negative attitude and being the opposition's 12th man.

So what if the takeover doesn't happen, so what if we sell/release a couple of fringe players that haven't impressed NW enough in pre-season - it hardly changes anything from a couple of days ago when all we realistically needed was a good striker to complement a team of battlers.

Whether we get a striker in on loan or use McCormack, Pugh, Rogers etc to finance a deal we still have a manager that knows what it takes to get out of the league and a squad that he has assembled.

Let's get behind the team, get behind the manager and if we do get promoted then they will be queuing up all the way along the M621 to buy the club.

I would say we have a decent midtable Championship side tbh, lacking in pace in some area's yes but none of them are slow as such are they?

In previous seasons I have been concerned about the snails pace of centerbacks and a lack of decent replacements, seems to me we have both now.

If we want to finish higher we need someone that can change a game from the bench and a bit more penetration up front, but needing 3 or 4 players in is better than in previous years looking and thinking we may need 7 or 8.

Im still feeling good to be honest, (dont get me wrong - this is utter rubbish - but the glass is half full and all that) we look very good at the back, tough in the middle - and if becchio can sort himself out we may still be in for a shout.......... plus west ham have just signed diarra from marseille so they may even agree to loan maynard to free up some wages.

Unfortunately many fans a walking away from the LU, we have lost eight season ticket holders in our SC, makes my job harder arranging transport, had to negociate with our coach company who have been very helpful tbh

Could see Warnock leaving he said he did not want to be associated with the anger towards Bates last season.Well i have got news for Neil you have seen nothing yet the abuse he will get will be unbelievable.Just waiting to hear what 90 lies an hour will be spouting out now in the evening post.

Although im not a massive fan of Becchio, he did still score a few in his first season in the championship and so did Ross last season. Both seasons we had a weak midfield and defense. Something Warnock had worked hard on sorting this transfer window. I feel the current Leeds team has a better chance of making the playoffs than previous seasons!

I was planning many a trip to ER on my own with my Dan working now on a Saturday but after the news today about the take-over Im not gonna bother unless he wants to go. Its not LUFC anymore its LULSFC.

When I do go to the games, I for one will defo be shouting for Bates Out at every time.

So gutted at this news !!! But I guess its not unexpected given how long the so called due diligence process was taking - we could all sense something was wrong.

I was really looking forward to the shrewsbury game as I thought things would be very positive atmosphere wise but now its going to be just like last season :-(

Anyway, I wonder how long we will have to wait for O/S to confirm the news of the takeover not happening and Radio Bates is all quiet as well I bet !!!
