If he'd said Poleon or Nunez is the key you'd be in raptures  :bear:
I'm going back to 505, I saw them at Sheffield and they were amazing.

Not really, but at least he'd not be making excuses for us not having a quality striker and calling fatso a "key player" :roflmao:

Nail on the head

If our top management had any ambition we'd have replaced Jermaine Beckford by now, sadly they are not prepared to spend money on a decent striker hence our 7th & 14th position finishes since we were promoted

Goals could be at a premium for the new season if we prat about in this department once again

The Becchio of our first season in the Champs would most certainly be A key player for us, not sure he'd be THE key player. If he's fit, and his attitude is good, no reason why he can't make a major contribution. If he plays like he played last season (for whatever reason(s)), he'll probably lose his place to Gray

Twiggs, your never-ending knocking of Becchio is getting a wee bit tiresome.

I know you needed another target after Howson left, but please vary the tune a bit!

Why? He is a waste of space. I do not look for "targets". But when a fool like becchio refused an operation to go on holiday last summer and missed most of last season as a result..WHY should I give the prat any leeway? :duno:
I support players who actually CONTRIBUTE to our team.

NO you DON'T Twiggs. YOU have a downer for whatever reason on a player and that's it. YOU hated Howson last year, this year it's Beccho, it's pathetic and boring. :bear:

IF a LUFC player continually shows less than 100%, he is not worthy of any Leeds fans' praise. Becchio was so arrogant he went on holiday last summer instead of having the operation he was told was needed.

Becchio let the team down badly.
Of COURSE I hope he can contribute more this season, as Warnock still gives him the time of day - I just can't see it.

Hardly like it was a broken leg and it was a black and white decision to have the operation. No doubt happens at every club every season where there is a slight tear or tweak somewhere and its 50/50 over whether to have an operation or not. Sometimes the operation won't happen and the injury will heal itself perfectly well with just a bit of rest. Hardly like anyone would want to have an operation unless definitely required.
