Daily mail reports that we are willing to sacrifice diouf to fund other players.

So if it just wages they are paying they might just take it out of the transfer pot we may or may not have.Genghers wrote: Not always, depends on the terms. Though I agree it seems strange. I wish we could offload all our crap pointless players, but I can't see anyone wanting Tonge or Pugh...
No transfer fees, no agents fees... Got a feeling this is going to be the first genuine year we get some of our money back, not like bates, take 99.9% of whatever we generate.

Who would want him though? I'm not fussed if he stays or goes, but BMc has spoken about him being important...Brader wrote:Daily mail reports that we are willing to sacrifice diouf to fund other players.

I'd be very happy if Diouffs' going frees up funds for an addition or two.....in addition to that, McCormack, if he stays should start up front, if not then get what we can...Can't afford another season trying to "fit" him in or play him off the bench. Byram, if he goes, will go late...probably before we can spend the windfall...

because you are not committed to paying for longer than the duration of the loan, I suspect it is the amount we are paying for the duration of the contract as much as week to week that is causing an issue.Emsley wrote:

Morrison is out on loan, but he has another year with us after that is up, so I guess it depends on the length of contracts for each player, didn't Hall get a 3 year deal?
Every game I predict a 3 - 1 Leeds win, I am traditional like that.

Precisely why we need to offload players.

Apparently the only two players we've had offers for are Ross and Aidy White. I'd be reluctant to sell either to be honest, both offer us something we don't have in other areas of the squad.

I'd get rid of both if the offers are decent enough for McDermott to bring the players he requiresGenghers wrote:Apparently the only two players we've had offers for are Ross and Aidy White. White should have gone last season, unconvinced he is a championship player......as for McCormack where does he fit in our team.....a striker who doesn't score enough goals upfront or when he plays in midfield.... McDermott knows as I do we can do better !

Of course, if Morison suddenly bursts into life and finishes the season on 47 goals, he still belongs to us and could come back a rejuvenated man.

McCormack over rated not a natural goal scorer. Sell get Rickie Lambert.

Saw Boro have a bid in for Ross this morning. Would be distraught if he left. He's the difference between another mediocre season and making a decent push for promotion.

He had 12 assists last season playing out of position. he's the only player we can play up-front with the potential to score 20 + this season. We need him to play and play well.

Now we are talking.... a proper prolific striker, doubt we could afford him right nowUSA LEE wrote:McCormack over rated not a natural goal scorer. Sell get Rickie Lambert.
LEE, if the attendances continue in the same vein as Saturday's crowd we may see a big signing in the January window with much more revenue in the pot !
