We have all been through such dark times since the Ridsdale melt-down of 12 years ago that I am concerned we have collectively switched off all critical faculties in the hope that the latest pretender on the scene is the Messiah.

Please, my friends and fellow addicts, don't let your desperation to welcome the knight on the white horse blind you to the realities regarding the latest pretender to the role of saviour.

In the last week and a half, Massimo Cellino has

• Announced he has bought LUFC before he had
  Tried to impose Festa on the club before he was owner
  Got his lawyer to illegally sack Brian McD
  Claimed he had to sack Brian because he was picking arguments with everyone
  Backtracked and blamed GFH for sacking Brian
  Brought in a player on loan without getting the paperwork sorted properly
  Announced he has sold Cagliari when he hasn't
  Failed to provide the paperwork to the FL for them to approve the takeover
  Failed to turn up for the Brighton game after saying he would be there

He claims he will buy Elland Road on Thursday. Does anyone believe that?

Let's face it, he is a convicted fraudster. What do fraudsters do? They lie convincingly.

How many of his claims in the last 10 days or so have been true?

Make your mind up.

I am tempted to say that "He's not the Messiah, he's a very naughty boy", but this is no joke. Please, don't let your very natural desperation for someone to lead us out of the wasteland blind you to the realities of what Cellino represents. If he does take us over, which seems inevitable, are we all prepared for the media shitstorm that will engulf us when the embezzlement charges from last year come to court?

These are dark days, the like of which could make the Bates years seem like a long lost summer.

We have no say in what happens or who owns the club. We just have to make the best of whatever cards we, as fans are dealt.
All we can do is continue to support the team (whatever nationality the players are) and in our own minds know that we the fans and the club are bigger than any 1 owner, or consortium.

Personally, I have to agree with GW. It keeps getting pointed out that "What can we do?" Well, obviously nothing as a singular entity. Trouble is, these days so many are willing to accept their lot just to gain glory once more. Somebody has already mentioned that fact that as long as money is spent and glory once again bought then their happy. Ironic, considering so many slag off other clubs for buying their silverware or an attempt to do so.

GBH have turned down a few offers recently to have investment into the club. Why? Why can't we question Cellino's foray into English football. especially if it concerns LUFC. Has the fan base become so desperate their happy for anyone to take the reins no matter their history of the buyer or the fans concerns

Ok, so it may not serve a purpose to constantly bang on about his past, but why are some so anti- conversation into Cellino or his background. It may serve no purpose, but conversely it serves no purpose being "cheerleader'esque over his probably tenure.
