I also agree with GW, but I am rather more fatalistic about it. At this stage with the sale agreed and contracts exchanged 'que sera, sera' and a shrug is as effective as anything else.
There are indeed some who are acting like the guys at the top of a skyscraper welcoming the alien invasion fleet a la Independence Day. There are some like the homeless guy in Hitchhiker's with 'The end of the world is nigh' plastered across a sandwich board. Some are huddled with family and friends quietly waiting for doom to take them like Cage in 'Knowing', and some are blissfully unaware that anything is going on at all.

The truth of it is that we are all doing the same thing. Holding our breath and waiting. Our body position and demeanour do not matter in the long run, what will be will be.

I watch too much Sci-Fi.

So when is the Cellino Deathstar scheduled to arrive above ER?

Luke "Skywalker" Murphy is not the Jedi Knight you are looking for.

Leeds United as we all know are like a rollercoaster.....we're on the downward slope again...sadly it's just a fact of this club..i wish it wasn't....better times will come again...it's just this time seems to have been one hell of a dive

Well I assume it is currently in the bank car-park as he finalises the purchase of the ground.

Too much bad Sci-Fi though.

Shame Robbie Blake didn't wear the number 7 shirt.

Ok,

Don't you think un-questionably that the very fact that those questioning are being questioned as to why their questioning is questionable?

I'm taking it that he said that on the assumption he would be the owner of LUFC as of yesterday. I therefore expect ER to be bought the day after he is unveiled as our new owner. :bear:
I'm going back to 505, I saw them at Sheffield and they were amazing.

He doesn't have the club yet, as you well know. The delay in in the hands of the FA, not the Italian. Why would he buy the stadium without the club?

I'll join you in moaning about him breaking his post-purchase promises when he's actually purchased. Not a minute before.

Sorry, he knew what the FL meeting was about when he promised last week that he would buy the ground today. The meeting was necessary because he had failed to provide the documentation requested last week. If he had produced the documents at the right time he would not have had to meet the FL yesterday.

Knowing all that, he said he would buy the ground today - and he doesn't need to own the club before buying the ground.

Adler didn't own us, nor did Teak. The two issues are separate.

So, you'd want him to buy the ground then but not be the owner? :bear:

No, ideally I wouldn't want a fraudster owning either the ground or the club, but it seems inevitable he will.

I would, however, like him to stop making promises he doesn't keep. We had more than enough of being lied to in the Bates era,

Did he actually say "I promise to buy ER next Thursday" or did he just say I will buy ER next Thursday? As I said above I assume he said he would buy ER upon becoming the owner of LUFC. :bear:

It's is currently trying to get out of the bank car park, but has been blocked in by Leeds fans...
