Let's hope there is no "becchio bid"

I'm not sure that anyone has the interests of LUFC at heart. Its their ego or ability to make a profit that seems to matter more/most. I'm kind of resigned to us being a bauble on a balance sheet for the forseeable.

The Supporters Trust poll also showed 75% against at the time - but that dropped to 60% against at the end of that week
75% of the Trust vote is a lot of LUFC fans.

But again Twiggs 75% of how many fans? The Supporters Trust may well have a lot of members but if 100% didn't vote then just saying 75% doesn't really mean much. :bear:

THIS!

Love Lucas, great player, great person. But..... he gets trotted out every now and then, and rumors start about him being involved more at the club in some unspecified role. He seems more a figurehead/pawn of the Farnan bid, hoping that their apparent lack of money will sway GFH and the supporters to that consortium's side. As much as Cellino stinks, I think the club as a whole would be much worse off under the likes of Farnan and his mystery group, just a feeling.

The best of a bad bunch? And that's what worries me. None of the prospective owners seem good for the club :(

In a political election, nowhere near 100% of the electoral listed population actually vote, yet the election votes that are counted, still decide the future.

I'm not aware of exactly how many voted in the Trust poll, but it was "A massive response from our members", according to the Trust news letter.

No,it was the Farnan bid, back in September / October or so. They put in an offer (reported in the press as £7 million, although Farnan has said it was higher) that was rejected by GFH, then GFH granted exclusivity to Haigh's Sport Capital and when that fell through Cellino stepped in. Throughout this, GFH have refused to talk to the Farnan Together Leeds consortium, and I would love to know why that is.

no ..about 5/6 season back there were rumblings of a consortium lead or figureheaded by Radebe...I'm sure of it

Comparing any football related feelings to domestic abuse is somewhat puzzling ...

This Cellino guy. He's already made mistakes and told lies to back track. How many other owners do that? I don't mean make mistakes or tell lies, I mean back track. How many owners back track under fan pressure. He's already had a sweet taste of how Leeds fans feel and has had to undo his actions (which he wasn't legally able to do in the first place). Also, it seems anyone who has been linked with Leeds in the past 3 years has came out looking like a fool amidst a hurricane of lies.

If we were stable now and taking a punt on administration or a shot with a relatively rich guy, i'd choose stability. But fact is, we are being pushed to one or the other, we may as well give this guy a shot. He also seems to be relatively popular with the media and Cagliari fans - unless the italians are a world apart from us, you wouldn't see our media or English fans saying an exiting chairman was good for the club if he wasn't - Bates, Venkys, Ashley... etc.

You're drowning and an ex-spouse tries to save your life. They cheated on you and embarrassed you, but on the other hand, you are f**king drowning. "No, I'm going down, you are a bad person and I'll not let you save me". When you are safe on land, you might choose not to have anything to do with them, but we're drowning here. May as well take the offer... what's the alternative.
"Please understand that the theory that every Leeds discussion converges to a finite, but uninformed, debate on the Chairman is one we must all question and actively counter" - Stephen Hawkings

The Trust has well over 10K members. No idea on how many voted, as I previously mentioned - just a massive response to the poll.

Statistically You wouldn't need more than a few thousand voters for this to be a valid poll for determining the general view of all Leeds fans quite accurate actually. Obviously one can expect some change if every single Leeds fans voted, but normally it wouldn't be to different from the a population of a few thousand.

Farnan is a total fraud. All this bollocks about him being the driving force at the blunts, sunderland, Scum etc is total bollocks. He has been sacked at every club he has ever been involved in.

He is lucky he can pass the fit and proper test himself as in some of the instances of where he has been sacked - deception and misrepresentation were involved. Some of the things I have heard about him in last week are truly shocking and we need to keep this fella as far away from Leeds as possible.

Adam Pearson also involved, he owns Hull FC RL who are absolutely up to their necks in debt - all his doing - he is looking to get involved in this bid as he needs a paid salary as he is going through an expensive divorce....

Leeds together is about these two fuds getting a paid job at our expense, they are not even qualified to run a sports team. Everything Pearson has ever been involved in has failed and ended up in or close to administration and Farnan has been potted in every job he's had in football.

The Italian might be a mad doofus but at least it's his money and he calls the shots, there is flipp all left to steal, strip or sell so not sure why we give a flipp who is owning it at this stage so long as they buy players.
The way the club is set up at the moment we have forward sold all the season ticket money and catering so there is flipp all cash in the business except for the occasional big gate & the TV money which comes in a few batches a year.

:bear:
Which goes along with why GFH wouldn't touch them as potential investors. I know this flies in the face of popular opinion, but maybe GFH do have a clue about a thing or two? Thanks for finding that BB.
