Post by Crude »

On loan until the end of the season, then sign him for a cool four million euros. Hope he's the real deal.

edit: changed title to match the seasonal transfer window and loan festivities

Why do leeds need another striker surely the problem is with the defence and midfield.

A slightly misleading article which makes it sound like he scored 24 goals in 33 Serie A games which is not correct as he was on loan to a Serie B team. However he did score a lot of goals for a team that ended up in the relegation play-off zone. In the league he scored 20 of his team's 51 goals. The next highest scorer, got 4. Puts McCormack's relative contribution to shame LOL

I did wonder about that sort of deal - will the FL let us arrange a future fee into loans? Essentially lets us make permanent signings despite the ban...

We do need another striker - Antenucci is the only one who's played (relatively) consistently and Morison isn't good enough. This lad has a bit of height, which we're lacking up top this season.

A decent CB and defensive mid are a definitely a priority, but will we be able to loan anyone/get a free who is at a level to improve our team?

Always said we'll be okay if we sign three decent signings down the spine of the team. Cellino/Redfern's dealings in January are the key to our future !

If that's true , it's great news. From the Italian football I've seen few years ago he's a fantastic player. Much better option than Austin

Both players mentioned look good to me, Pavoletti can hopefully pair up with Antenucci and the DM from Inter Milan should do the job that Austin is incapable of doing. Just a big commanding experienced CB and it's game on. Yeah baby YEAH.
When the ball hits the goal, it's not Shearer or Cole, it's ...... Antenucci.

If we sign Rene Krhin, could see Austin moving on. Which wouldn't break my heart. 'A' for effort, 'D' for results during his time at the club.

Funnily enough these are exactly the kind of players the fans have been asking for - bar the CB replacement. We'll see if they have the quality but they come with good reviews

Redders has said today that there are a couple of signings in the pipeline and that he and Cellino have both put names forward.

So the couple in the pipeline presumably Pavoletti and Krhin. Redders wants Championship experience, so will be interesting to see who he's put forward - no one will be cheap from this league/the Prem though :|

Austin is attracting attention from Brighton and Millwall apparently, so hopefully one of them puts a bid in and we can replace him with Khrin.

The Huddersfield Examiner reckons we're in for Danny Ward. A former LUFC junior who was sold to Bolton at a young age for £350K. This could be one of Redfearn's preferred options, so unlikely that Cellino would go with it, especially as he is a winger.

It would be nice to have the option of playing wingers, but I still think our priority needs to be a good holding midfielder and a centreback to lead the defence.

id have to agree another stiker is a must we cant put all our chips on antenucci and in a fair few games wever created enough chances to win 6 or 7 games yet not been able to finish our own dinner.

we only require 1 commanding CB, i think between bellusci, pearce and cooper one of those 3 would be a great partner to a real commanding CB.

couple wingers to atleast give us a different dimension. at times the diamond formation is too predictable an teams just pack the midfield, but not kebe or stewart type players
Forever and ever we shall follow are team, because we're Leeds United we rule supreme!
