As I have stated many times before the table does not lie we are a worse team than last season yes it may change in the new year but I would not hold my breath and after watching yesterdays disgusting display one of the worst I have ever seen for players showing no fight no guts not seeming to care this squad is not good enough if we get drawn into the bottom 3.

All the table tells us is that we have fewer points than last season, nothing to do with the quality of the team...

I really do believe that the group of players we have now is much more capable than last season, but a lot of them are new to this league/are still very young. With that you get lack of composure, panic, and inconsistency. It hasn't helped that we've been through 3 changes in coach this season, so the tactics will have chopped and changed somewhat.

We'll see where we are come Christmas and beyond, but I feel like we're going to get better as the season progresses rather than worse, as has been the case for the last couple of years...

talking about relagation at this point of the season is almost as useful as saying whos going to win the league. Its a long season, alot can happen in that time, and like pointed out, its a young team that has had most of the dead wood cut out. If we still had a squad full of old declining players then i would worry....... but for me, for now, there is zero to panic about.

Now 13 points down on last year, and with a goal difference poorer by 18, but at least we remain ahead of our relegation season.

if we are still in the same position or lower come February it will be squeaky bum time but I am not too worried at the moment.

We have three or four tough games coming up, but after that we have about seven games, which to me, we can get results and points against all of them. I just hope the lads don't get too down and stay positive.

Well to make sure it was a fair comparison in the 2nd half of the season, it's only right that we subject Redfearn and his squad to the same off-field s**t that McDermott and his band of merry men received...

Joking aside, the behind-the-scenes dramas and our slide down the table last season was no coincidence. I really hope that the same doesn't happen and that these guys respond better. People blame it on the manager/players of last season but we were riding high at Christmas and went downhill around the time we started blocking Massimos taxi.

It also can't be a coincidence that a majority of our players who have left recently - Lees, Hunt, Ajose, Smith etc, are all doing well in stable clubs. Think then what our current bunch could achieve with a bit of stability? Yet people are still happy to sell and buy more bargain basement signings?

Last year we really faltered after Christmas though, whereas this year I can see us kicking on (as evidenced by the last four games).

M'Boro away is probably our toughest remaining fixture, other than that, if we continue as we are, I think we are capable of getting something out of every other game.

Without doubt our toughest game mate, as you say we are now capable of competing with anyone in this division, we will have some hiccups though between now & the end of the season

We will and it will probably be when we don't expect it, but I'm more hopeful now than this time last year.

I was in despair this time last year so much so i was starting to wonder whether paying good money to watch atrocious football was worth the time & effort after 50 years of attending games. Always said i'd watch Leeds even if we sunk down to the Conference League but last season almost finished me off worst ever !
