War on Russia would mean the end of global civilisation as we know it. Not so much in terms of everyone dying, but the spheres we live in would be much smaller. Access to goods through trade would be severely narrowed and technological and scientific progress would suffer as information sharing shuts down.

I expect to see French planes (in addition to ours) in the sky "escorting" Russian planes soon, a little reminder we are a part of NATO.

I don't think they're unbiased at all...I just think that article you quoted is at the opposite end of the bias spectrum! You only have to look at the sole purpose of the website to realise its motives

So, maybe your right. At least now there is a balance between bias on both sides where the truth is somewhere in the middle. Therfore, my point about MSM were used to seeing is putting accross an argument that is far from the truth. It's good to read a biased article from another angle, it gives persepective. Something that is lacking in modern MSM outlets here in the west.

very fair point, apologies I thought you were suggesting the article was 100% accurate and unbiased, but re-read your post and realised you didn't mean that.

Personally, I think Putin is quite a dangerous character and that we shouldn't back down over Ukraine...there really wouldn't be too much difference if we did and the appeasement of Hitler (albeit we now know how truly crazy Hitler was and it's probably an unfair comparison)

Polaris and any successor weapon systems have subsumed the job that heavy aircraft did. Like it or not, they are a detterent to any attack. It sort of makes the nasties think twice about taking big military action while the threat of a few megatons of nuclear weapons is out there undetected!
