Cellino not coming back
I have just seen on twitter that when Cellino's ban by the FL is over he won't be returning. Also he has sold a stake in the club. Surely this news could of come out tomorrow after tonight's game.
In a way I am glad he has done this so that he can try to take on his legal battle without dragging Leeds through the mud even more, this shows that he has learned that these things can affect the team and this distances himself from us a little.
One thing it doesn't say is WHO HAS BOUGHT THE SHARES...... You know who we don't want back involved. "KEN"

Re: Cellino not coming back
He'll be back, just not during the appeal or upcoming court case which is probably a good thing. Not because I think him gone is a good thing, just that it is better than him returning then being disqualified again etc, dragging the club through the courts.faaip wrote:Shame...
The fact he is taking his action as an individual rather than through the club is a good think, unlike Bates.

I suppose we just have to wait and see what effect this will have on the running of the club. I look forward with interest (and a fair degree of dread) to finding out just who is buying the released shares and if they will be having any say in the club, or will be investing in any way, shape or form.

We knew about the share transfer last week, Eleonora Sport Ltd owns 75% of the cub and this is held in family trust.1964white wrote:Rumours are his son Eduardo owns us now

Cellino doing all this for the good of the club, rather than potentially hurting us as he pursues action against a corrupt FL. Not many owners would do that I'd think, certainly not a ex-owner names Bates.

Re: Cellino not coming back
Just watching Look North the highlights say they have news from Massimo, so guessing it's this, not on just yet though
Just watched not a great deal of new news , Popey was on saying this was to be expected and to not build it up too much. Massimo is trying to get his Italian conviction overturned and also fight some other court cases so this keeps Leeds separate from that, if he wins he'll return and thumb his nose at the Great FL, if he looses it doesn't affect us at all but he can then decide what he wants to do, he may well just sit back and let things carry on as they are, either way I get the feeling he's making sure the club doesn't suffer

There can be no clearer indication of a man who has the best interests of LUFC at the top of his list.
Obviously this 'fit and proper' test is perfect for weeding out the unsuitable and those who are not here for the love of the game...

He's taking a back seat while the fl finds an other lie to charge him with, after all his main crime was to rescue Leeds United, that must be a capital offence

Re: Cellino not coming back
Emanuelle Guilianelli on Twitter reporting that entire Cellino family are looking to step away from Leeds. I don't believe even half of what I read on there, but he has been pretty much spot on regarding transfers etc. Hopefully just the smoke from one of Massimo's fags, and not a fire

With all respect, his tax evasion wasn't a lie.Velotrax wrote:He's taking a back seat while the fl finds an other lie to charge him with, after all his main crime was to rescue Leeds United, that must be a capital offence
