Hardly noticed Phillips to be honest. Pontus outstanding apart from the passing deep and dithering in the right corner. Roberts is having a very good game

Good period of presure ends with a couple of half chances for Saiz the second a shot deflected wide which was given as a GK wrongly.

Roberts yellowed

Yellow to Roberts but maybe mis-yellowed there

Ayling tries to get cute in our box and BPF has to rescue him

Brentford edged that as they played our football better than us. Their DMF (I think it is) is a lot better than Kalvin for me and is dominating that area..

Can we please swap the wingers, You 100% know Harrison has to get the ball on his left foot and defenders know this too effectively taking him out of the game for long periods.

I agree. That was Brentfords half. Too many passes going astray from us and Brentford have done their homework on how to stifle us in attack

Hi This is my first ever post but after watching that first half felt I had to comment - Ayling has been awful ditto Harrison apart from 1 decent cross field ball. Thank god for the international break get some of the injured back !

I think it's more down to the bad passing out of defence especially from Ayling that has seen attacks break down before they start. If Brentford go in front it's difficult to see a way back.

We are playing well for the most part though and Alio has been decent just the service has been poor

This is real football. A joy to watch. End to end stuff.
Both teams look like they could score. None of this wasting
time like Birmingham or Reading. Full tilt boogie football.
Whoever gets a grip of the midfield will win this game.
Where have you ever seen a CB (Pontus) running the full length of the
pitch with the ball to get in on the attack.

Dallas and Alioski doing well on the left Harrison and Ayling not so good
Ayling needs to get his studs checked. Klich looses a contact lens. He could appear
after half time with a pirates eye patch AAAAArrrrrrrrgh.

If it goes on like this the game will end in a draw. It is even steven at the moment.
I wonder if Bielsa will go 3 at the back with Cooper Phillips and Jansson and
let Ayling and Dallas push on as wing backs. We need to control the midfield
and if we flood it with men then there is a chance of winning the game.

Not sure what to expect 2nd half, hope we can get Saiz on the ball higher up the field. We have not been good down the flanks.
Without Pontus we would be in trouble today.

We're really missing Roofe's cleverness and Pablo's genius. I also think we're missing Beradi's bite and ability to pick a pass very quickly out of defence

We are giving cheap possession away and our midfield is trotting back deeper than usual cause of it.

Good summary I too think Alio is having a decent game, Pontus has been outstanding today, Dallas though has been caught out 2/3 times and isn't looking comfortable at LB.
