Bielsa said he thought Dallas was steady at left-back and much better at right-back. Said he played him ahead of Pearce because he felt Dallas deserved to be given a place in the team on the basis of previous performances.

Most worrying thing Bielsa has said imo.

Dallas was poor again and at fault for the goal.

His "previous performances" deserved to see him dropped.

I couldn't understand the reason why he played against Forest. He is not a full back, and is not skillful or fast enough for a winger. He is League 1 at best. Pierce and Coyle (when he returns) should be getting the nod if our first choice are not available.

Seems everyone thinks the same apart from the boss. Another highly average performance tonight and some might consider him at fault for their goal - isn’t a good defender or attacker at this level . Surely it’s time for his arse to be parked on the bench for a while ?

This argument and others too remind me of fans & supporters calling / asking ..preposing thinks player that player &so forth .. rep. Of Ireland coach should pick this player /play these players ..and @ end of day you play eleven and hope to not make want changes..unless hand is forced too..

There's no room for sentiment. Surely the best team for that particular match is played , if it goes pear-shaped then hold your hands up , isn't that what managing is about ? Anyone can keep picking the same 11 however I do appreciate that in Leeds' case those same 11 are rarely available.

Regards Clarke, an immense talent I am sure that hasn’t gone unnoticed to Bielsa, obviously feels he’s not ready to start and just stick to 30 minute cameos with the game a bit more open. His best showing was against forest, I’d imagine he’s close to forcing his coaches hand to let him show his stuff from the start.

Remember reading when he arrived an interview with a Bilbao fan on one of the LUFC blog sites.

One of the things he said was something like.

"Bielsa doesnt care what a player has done in the past, what the fans think of them or even what position they have played before. He will play them where he thinks they fit best and he only plays players who buy into his philosophy 100% ".

Something like that.

Dallas is probably one of those who listens and Bielsa likes that.

I think he is wrong myself same as its reported the club begged him to have another cb and he refused, thought that was wrong to.

Stubborn coach who likes a small squad and Dallas is someone he likes unfortunately

Been wondering this myself.

When did Stuart Dallas become a modern day Paul Madeley? (i never saw him play but you all say he was versatile).

Who decided this?

I remember Jamie Carragher saying " for a full back your either a failed winger or a failed centre back".

Is that it, have managers realised Dallas isnt a winger but thought "hmm he's a nice lad maybe he can be a full back or (lord help us) a centre back".

We all have said it "ohh Dallas very versatile".

But i cant actually remember when or why this happened
