Having watched the first half again I don't think we were anywhere near as bad as some made out We looked the only team likely to score and whilst not brilliant we could have had a couple of goals. I have seen us play better but not create chances that were as good as in the first half. Bristol offered nothing in that first half.
Second half and yes we improved but that was mainly on the back of the sending off and the fact we got the goal - after that there was always going to be more space and more opportunities. Johnson's comments are laughable, reminded me a bit of Jaap Stam suggesting his team was playing well when they hadn't hardly been in our half.

love travelling by train mate imo best way to travel for a day out . always book a table seat nearest to the bogs as we like to have a good drink usually with very little or no disruption at all. the problems arose yeterday was due to northern trains cancelling a lot of their services hence other trains services being delayed and packed to the rafters . to be fair east midlands trains and service are usually not to bad compared to some others . however like you ive also had some bad experiences over the years unfortunately with the privatisation of the trains things won't get any better soon.

My niece is at Leicester uni at the moment and often uses the train to Nottingham and Birmingham and is happy with the services of East Mids trains.

I may have been unlucky,tbf half the problem was the Police.

Not sure there is a good player in Harrison and to be honest I don't care, we have nothing to gain by "teaching him" or bringing him along for MC to sell to someone else. He's gone next season and I'd much rather have a player that can contribute and we can keep going forward

No sign of any right footed ability, too slow of thought, needs too long to make a decision, lacks any creativity. He won't get a better chance than today and should have gotten a shot away in the 5 minutes he had possession about 8 yards out, but badly fluffed his lines. Then just running head down with no clue what he was going to do with the ball on that break was Sunday league stuff . Not asking he should score or play a killer pass just get a right footed shot away and lay a pass off ...

Hopefully we get Ibai Gomez in January and send Harrison back. White Hadi Sacko.

Klich has been poor last couple of games. I think it's a tiredness issue. Rest him on Tuesday and give Baker a chance.

Also think Pablo should be rested as we don't want to tire him out for the blunts game.

Very poor first 60 minutes, the sending-off was crucial as it was only when Bristol City went down to ten men we raised our game looking like we could actually win the game. Saiz coming on help our cause somewhat as space opened up for our attacking players to show the flair we'd become accustomed too this season. Once again Phillips plucked the robins as he broke up play protecting our inexperienced defence with his tenacity, he also made three or four delightful passes into the channels only for our forwards to waste his vision & creativity.
In the end a deserved scrappy win contrary to what Lee Johnson thinks !

Positives

Clean sheet.
We actually beat ten men, a rarity.
We won a game after a international break
Huffer & Halme didn’t let themselves down.
Our Spanish wizards Saiz & Hernandez create & score a wonderful replica goal to the one at WBA in the last few minutes.
Kalvin Phillips proves his doubters wrong again.
Douglas is still our best signing of the summer.
Roofe ran his socks off & deserved his goal.
The robins had only one shot on target.
Hardly noticed the referee, makes a pleasant change

Negatives

Our weak links were there to be seen. Alioski, Dallas & Harrison are not good enough.
No pace in our play, all predictable slow build-up in the first half
Why Harrison & not Jack Clarke ?

It was far from a perfect performance so there are always going to be comments highlighting our weaknesses during the game.

We didn't really raise our game until Bristol were down to ten men around the 60th minute mark, for the last 30 minutes we were treated to some really good football & goals of course

As you & probably 30k + Leeds fans plus Eddie Gray & his commentary team & the media reports on the game, all seem to be making similar comments about the game

We really could do with the three points v Reading though then it wouildn't be so drastic if we lost the game at Bramall Lane

I would take six points out of every batch of three games throughout the rest of the season as that would give us up to around the 90 points mark, good enough for automatic promotion I suspect

For me, it was a bit of a worrying performance. You can say a win is a win but at the end of the day the performance was poor when it was 11 v 11.

Bristol were probably the better team in the first half and we didn’t create any chances at all of note really beyond roofes lucky deflected shot. Our build up play is so slow, its worrying. We pass it along the back line for about a minute before just hoofing the ball up forward. The slow build up just allows teams to get their whole team behind the ball. We need to be a lot faster and punchier on attacking. That’s why, for me, saiz has to play. He’s the only one comfortable enough to play first time balls or the cute little balls over the top to break down a defence.

We won, and we’re second which is great but we really need to improve our attacking play for me if we’re going t keep it up.

Also alioski was abysmal, a one for me and we really need to get rid. Same with Harrison.

Cooper good at the back, Halme solid as well.

The young keeper did ok but a few nervous moments, we really need to sign a new keeper in January.

Bristol City would have been top 10 had they beaten us. Bristol City looked poor throughout the game and offered very little. We outplayed them first half without really getting into gear. The second yellow was deserved, no idea what Lee Johnson is on about if he thinks clattering through a player dangerously when no chance of getting the ball is a good tackle then he's an idiot.

It was us with the major injury problems, first 11 and we win that at a canter

Once they lost a player and couldn't play 11 men behind the ball we looked a lot better, but usually teams struggle against 10 men so again the red card is slightly irrelevant. Saiz provided the key. Fans are blinded by what he doesn't get quite right and don't have the vision to understand he allows everyone else to play while taking on 2/3 defenders and still making key passes

Quest TV singled out Roofe as our best player I wouldn't disagree with that as he was very good and Phillips had an easy day at the office which is when he looks very good.

Top scorer says otherwise. I think he's perfectly suited to this system tbh. Great movement, impressive hold up play for a smaller forward and has a knack of being in the right place at the right time.

Will be glad to have Bamford vac, but he's still not going to come straight into the team ahead of Roofe.

Considering we had 2 debutants in the back four alongside a left winger at right back I'm very pleased with the win. Good play from Klich to set up Hernandez' chance which lead to Roofe's goal, and Samu's pass for the second was brilliant.

If Pontus isn't back, I'd start Phillips in the back 2, drop Forshaw back and bring Saiz in at 10.

Agree Genghers, I thought Roofe's hold up play was excellent again, his all round game has improved immensely under Bielsa's supervision

Serious questions need to be asked if we couldn't win without Pablo. We can't afford to lose to the blunts, especially given how tight it is around the top 6.

Who’s being negative? Have you read this forum over the past few week? It’s not constant, but there is a underlying current, one which swells quickly.
