I'd much rather play Halme than Ayling at CB and Shack at RB ...if we want Phillips back to Sweeper/DMF
I must admit it does seem strange to play a 'stand in' CB when we have an actual CB on the bench.
I guess MB sees Phillips experience at this level as the deciding factor.

Saiz would have made a difference in this spell of games. Its unfortunate that Izzy Brown is not ready to provide Pablo some breathing time.
I imagine there will be minor tweaks by MB for this game.
This run of games where we've won 7 of 7?
Same line up I suspect. Cooper might make the bench, apparently, which would be a boost.
Hull always put in a shift against us, but we should have the quality to see them off.

Not buying the argument to drop Pablo as I am sure everyone will be a bit tired but he was still able to put over a pinpoint cross for the goal in the 95th minute. Might be physically tired but to be still able to produce that quality at that moment is why we need him. Ideally we need a really comfy win and the luxury to give him a rest for 30 minutes or so - but we never do things easy!
Pablo is older than most in the squad, has to be protected more so than his form dropping, he’ll be 34 in April

I understand your point Dezzy but Pablo looks as fit as a butchers dog, for me he seems to do as much chasing back & closing down as Alioski does for the team.

He really does and so much more consistent than we have ever seen, it’s unlikely that he’ll be dropped for Baker as it looks like it’s not going to work for him, but was interested in seeing other ways to rest Pablo, I like Faaip’s suggestion, wouldn’t have dropped Ayling, but as has been said, just back from a lay off, can’t see the same team playing hull and forest, wasn’t aware of Hulls form though!

Im not buying this resting Pablo either tbh, hes 33 years old not an 80 years old pensioner. Hes in the best shape and form of his life, and he makes us tick. Rest him if hes got a knock, other than that hes the first on the team sheet. I want Clarke to have a start and get a full 90 under his belt, hes chomping at the bit to get a game an a few goals.

It doesn't seem like he's ready for that in terms of conditioning yet. I remember in that first game he came on, he was absolutely done after half an hour - vividly remember a lovely through ball on the wing which he basically stopped running for.
That conditioning is definitely improving though and he's looked likely throughout his spells, but im not sure he'd get through 90 at the same intensity.
Who would we have on the bench to replace him that would have the same impact? I think he's in the ideal position at the moment, and Bielsa knows what he's doing with regards to building youth into his squads, so I'll go with him on this.

Looking at the predicted scoreline above & the Leeds Score/Scorers comp on the Predictions Forum
Are we playing Liverpool or Man City again?
i predicted a 1-1 on the basis its a derby and the law of averages we cant keep on winning. hope im wrong mind and stuff the c**ts.
love your ever optomism tho 64 and i am pretty sure if we was playing liverpool or city you would still predict us to win 3-0

Not really a derby imo 63, both Sheffield clubs & Bradford City are our Yorkshire rivals
Hull is over 60 miles away from Leeds, they are barely in Yorkshire I wish they would shift them into Lincolnshire mind you that would spoil a nice landscape of the country
You're right the winning sequence is going to come to an end probably to a bottom half club bearing in mind the way the championship is, the facts already show two of our defeats were against teams who were halfway down the league when we played them. Monk's Brum have since improved to just outside the play-offs.
I still can't predict the codheads to beat us, if they do I'll have to go in hiding for a while
ALioski is the Duracell man he has to start on the right wing.
He has been banging in the crosses from there, even hit the bar
last game. He is much more dangerous in that position.
Halme has to come into the back 4 and allow Phillips to move into Forshaw's position.
If Ayling stays at rightback Shackelton has to move into the midfield, cos that boy can go like
a bullet... did you see how he sped past Tammy Abrahams, who seemed to be running
with cement blocks on his feet... but how would he replace there is only Klich of Forshaw
and I think Adam is a bit lackadaisical at the back so I would have him on the bench.
Left wing is a problem. It looks like Harrison will slot in there once again only to be replaced at half time
by someone from the bench. The rest of the tram stays the same.
But I would not be surprises if Bielsa springs a surprise on us and fields a team that no one expects
and we will all moan about his selection and say how stupid it is, and then when we win we will be
slobbering all over him once again, and proclaiming what a genius he is.
Predictable Bielsa... goes with a winning team... when will he ever learn???
We need a new goal keeper Blackman with a broken leg is better than BPF...
Pablo is too old... Phillips is never a centre back
Ayling is not fit... Dougals is Scottish... Jannson does Cruyff turns in dangerous
positions... Alioski is too short... Forshaw is ginger... Klich eats beetroot from breakfast.
Roofe's goal scoaring abilities will dry up soon... Harrison is a yank and needs to be yanked.
The stadium is falling to bits.... Radrizzani is a skinflint... Victor should go back to Spain
How did we ever get to the top of the league with such a shambolic team? It beggers believe
Just shows you how bad the championship is... worst that the Scottish 2nd division.
I give up.
with Saiz.
