Why do a section of our fans rate Berardi so much?

He was shite today and exposed for the full back playing cb that he is.

But aside from he gives his all and what not, is that all it is? Like Andy Hughes, really really average player at best but for some reason a cult hero.

He and Jansson played like strangers today.
He's one of those good solid pro types from our mid table days, as with Cooper, Dallas etc. Not good enough to start for a promotion chaser.

Bielsa clearly rates him but to easily bullied and slow.

Much prefer Struijk to get a chance.

Yeah I agree. Unfortunately we will go with experience at this stage of the season. If we were like 11th, a lot more of the u23s would have got game time this year.

So.. why are we spending £35k a week just to get Izzy Brown fit for his £10m move to Town next season?

Because our recruitment is done with just hope in mind.

We hope we wont miss Saiz, we hope Harrison might be a gem, we hope Bielsa might rate Brown, we hope we wont regret missing out on James.

Brown was a waste of time and money.

Bielsa has done an awesome job but his loyalty may be our downfall.

Yeah that is true. So much money wasted, it's so frustrating. You'd think a "good business man" would know how to spend efficiently, obviously not.

If we're in Championship next season, we'll really regret the Brown signing, as he will go elsewhere and we've spent money getting him fit for someone else.

They're all average players at the end of the day who've just been shown how to play as a team . When one or more of the cogs fail then the whole wheel collapses which is THE difference imo. The best equipped teams can carry the ones having an off day but Leeds will always struggle when just one or two don't perform. In today's case too many didn't turn up which makes it virtually impossible to achieve anything.

Yet another Leeds mystery. Maybe we have first refusal on him.

Part of the Berardi love in is because of the Charlton game when Bellusci and co faked injury, but Berardi refused to do so. I like him, but I wouldn't have him as a starter by any means.

I can't see us affording him in the Championship and why would we sign him if we went up? I just think he'll be wearing a Tesco shirt next year tbh.

Our recruitment is a source of real frustration.

I think the poor performances of some of our foreign lot last season made us dither over Buendia as well.

So much money wasted, not enough done in January or the summer.

I dont think the board backed Bielsa at all well and the finger will be firmly pointed in the boards direction should we not win promotion.

How many of the signings were MBS first choice :duno:

I agree with this.

A quality team on our day but lacking individual quality.

A lot needed to do in the post season as well, whether we go up or not. Key players will need replacing if we don't go up, much better will be needed if we do. Recruitment has been poor under Radz. Says a lot that Monk's bottlers still make up this side.

Next season would be a nightmare.

Ffp resets so braver or more reckless sides will spend huge sums (we wont).

Sales will happen and i havent much faith in our lot to get the right players in.

Not to mention the top at xmas laughing stock we will get all summer.

That's why I'm hoping Villa don't win the playoffs, they're blatantly cheating ffp, but as we've seen the EFL don't care. We will lose 3/4 key players if we don't go up and we've seen Radz isn't willing to put any money in to help out. The wage bill has shot up under him, but we've got the same team we basically had under Monk. I just hope we can keep MB if we don't go up.

They are and so have Derby but goodluck to them because if the EFL dont care then why should we it isnt there fault we are unwilling to take risks.

MB looks like he will stay, his brother implied that but its niggling me.

MB has been so patient this season with our recruitment and letting him down with Saiz and the wingers and whatnot.

He wont stand for it again imo.

He didnt at Marseille, he definitely wont for us either.

I wonder what will happen with Saiz. We can't afford to loan him out every season if we're in the Champ and his replacement would cost money which we don't have.

MB is a saint, but as you said, there's only so long we can try his patience.

We need another two wingers, CB, RB, CM and striker and that's before replacing Roofe, Clarke, PJ, Phillips etc.

faaip wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2019 4:21 pm Casilla - 7 - Not at fault for the goals
Ayling - 8 - Had a very good game for the most part.
Alioski - 0 - Shocking, can't defend and his distribution today was Sunday league park football.
Jansson - 4 - Beaten in the air for the second
Beradi - 6 - Combative

Phillips - 5 - Lack of pace and got taken to the cleaners today. He's not good with anyone with pace running at him
Hernandez - 6 - Tried too hard, can kind of forgive him a bad game just poor timing
Klich - 7 - Not at his best but did nothing wrong keeping the distribution simple.
Roberts - 7 - Was actually looking like one of our best players when he came off.
Harrison - 3 - Very poor but still better than Alio

Bamford - 5 - Good goal but a string of poor passes, two/three golden opportunities missed plus was seldom in the box for the few good crosses we put in

Forshaw - 6 - I'd like to see him start tbh.
Roofe - 7 - Most of his passes found their target, always moving, he seemed to be playing the #10 role and having to come deep
Clarke - 6 - Lacking confidence but better than recent weeks, still not beating players at will as he was, it all looks an effort to beat players and it's taking too long
I don't do ratings. Looking at yours though:-

Casilla - Yes he was at fault for the second goal. He didn't move.

Alioski - To give him zero is ridiculous. He worked hard, he did some brilliant passes. Yes he did some shite ones too but hey he's not the only one.

Berardi - To give him a 6 alongside Pablo is again ridiculous. Berardi did some horrendous passes!!

Roofe - Lol you give him a 7. Hmm don't think so.

Overall we should have won. Possession etc was in our favour. We were at home. Beautiful weather. Becchio was there  :bear:
I'm going back to 505, I saw them at Sheffield and they were amazing.
