Kodjia just fell on the floor Cooper didn't touch him and should of been play on, don't think Klich would of really scored as the Villa defence pretty much stopped.

When they get Abraham back I can't see them loosing the play off Final, I don't know where our goals will come from to earn Promotion.
No foul but Kodja has spent the majority of the past two seasons fighting injuries, not feigning, he took a knock to the back of the knee and was subbed off. After earlier kicking the ball out of play while in a good position, it was reasonable to ask and expect Leeds did the same on the half way line.
The commotion happened because of feigning to play the ball out and instead played the ball into the space that opened up. Could've all been avoided if the linesman saw that he was offside.

Play off final ? Both central defences, I thought were very good today. Abraham makes a big difference for us because of his movement off the ball, whereas Kodja is very static. I think we missed Whelan more today, at 35 it's wise to rest him, but over the past 2-3 months he seems to have drank from the fountain of life.

Ref was very weak. Think El Ghazi's red will easily be rescinded due to Bamford's simulation.

Oy leave me out of it

Personally I didn't see anything wrong with our goal. Play to the whistle they say, they had 3 defenders in the box plus their goalie. We scored. Their players, particularly Grealish, were disgraceful with their falling over today. Apparently it's ok to pull our players shirts, trip our players up etc but OMG if we have the audacity to reciprocate then out come the cards, free kicks in dangerous areas etc.

@swanny, do watch the game, it's lively and exciting, and even knowing the score it's a good one to watch. :bear:
I'm going back to 505, I saw them at Sheffield and they were amazing.

I'm not surprised we were up for it today, as we do have the best record v the top 6, which has been my glimmer of hope for the playoffs. We just need to start taking these chances, as we know there will a defensive c**k up eventually. Especially if we come up against Pulis and co.

I didn't think it was too much in it, but Kodjia was hurt. The problem is all season when we've been on the attack teams have feigned injuries to break up our attacks, then got straight back up when we've given it out. Particularly the likes of Forest and Birmingham, who are the worst offenders by far. It's become an art of football to do that now it seems. So I kinda understand why we did play on, however it did leave a bad taste and especially given there will be a meltdown over it from other fans and the media. The pleasing thing is it will show Bielsa in a new light. We've known all season how humble and sportsman he is, which is why all the attacks on him after spygate were completely unjustified and upset our fans. Hopefully now non Leeds fan will see how he is.

Think this will be the strongest playoffs for a while. You guys and West Brom are free scoring and we need 50 million chances to score. I do worry about facing Boro, because of how resolute they are and also Derby, because I can see Fat Frank being all smug and they get a lucky win over us. It will be nervous and exciting over the next two weeks!

Agree, play to the whistle! It really winds me up when players take it upon themselves to put the ball out, overruling the referee.
I'll take a peek later tonight bb.

I just remembered Preston away last season when Jansson went down with a head injury and they still scored and the ref didn't blow up. Perhaps it explains his reaction today then.

Bielsa's response was admirable, loved his response at getting booked. I have mentioned before that this is 2 massive clubs that belong in the premier league. The failure in today's game was weak refereeing. It was a failure to control the game. Absolutely, he should have stopped the game when Villa are asking for the ball tridiculous to blow for half time when he did, missed a stone wall penalty. Top referees will demonstrate why they give free kicks, mimicking a pulled shirt for example, even decisions he got right he stood motionless looking clueless

Play to the whistle, simple.

The decision to play on or not really shouldn't be with the players, it should be with the referee. As a footballer you shouldn't stop and expect the opposition to put it out, you get taught that when you are 10.

I wonder would Smith have done the same had the roles been reversed, very much doubt it. Bit of class from MB, though not surprising. Unlike Bamford, who should hang his head in shame. And oh the irony of that despicable c**t Terry trying to take the moral high ground.

All the madness detracted from what I thought was a decent performance from us. Phillips, Forshaw, Klich and Roberts all excellent, Coops, Pablo and Ayling solid too. Not so much from Dallas, Harrison and Bamford, but I don't think we have anything to fear in the play-offs.

Now ! Now we all that's morally wrong,
Terry probably sees it only as a wee weakness. However we all ought to know that he's Very very Wrong.

There should be a new rule. If you kick the ball out deliberately when a player is down injured without the referees permission it's a booking. That would stop it!

I think there should be a rule that if you feign injury to stop a team from attacking and then get straight back up after it's been kicked out, you should be sent off or there should be an automatic extra 3 mins added to injury time. It will stamp out the gamesmanship and will keep games flowing.

I like the sound of that swanny. The more I think about this game and the more I read about other people's opinions the more I think our goal should have stood and Bielsa is in the wrong. :bear:
