Heard the news earlier and this has cheered me up so much. Absolutely f*@KING delighted !!!
The prospect of the awful end to this season coupled with Marcelo potentially leaving was just too much to contemplate. Felt physically sick at that thought.
We go again in August folks..... this is Leeds United.......it may be 15 years and it hurts like hell.........but there is no club like ours and we will be back where we belong one day !!!
MB and Rads have agreed on a way forward, Rads will have given MB certain assurances but up to a point. I'd imagine we'd see some infrastructure added but maybe not everything. MB and Rads/Orta will have agreed on player targets and sales, again I'm sure MB will have agreed to a top price or total budget to be paid for talent coming in.

I'm with faaip on this one; for me, Marcelo doesn't sign on again unless he is happy with the package Radz has offered. In terms of players, transfers, infrastructure changes he wants, not what he's being paid. I think his wages are of minimal concern to him. So before we have a pop at Radz for not signing Messi and Mbappe in the summer, bear in mind that the best manager we have had since Wilko is happy with the much maligned AR.

Just hope Radz can back MB properly this summer, dont think he did last summer but because we made an "effort" to sign MBs targets then MB was satisfied.
Especially given the Qatar stuff (know i keep banging on) but that is potentially life changing for this football club, an opportunity that may never come around again, if Radz is turning that down then he is massively gambling, this is his last chance (Radz) he wont be able to come back from this if he rejects the Qataris, doesnt back Bielsa and consequently we fail next season.
Next season is the most important season for LUFC in a very long time, last chance for us to make the most of MB, if Radz is determined to keep control then he needs to be certain that we can make it otherwise he may go down as the owner who ruined the dreams of LUFC, wasted MB, turned down a life changing ownership deal and potentially put the club back years.
Radz needs to be sure, he cant screw this up because he is putting himself before the club if he turns down the Qataris and there will be no way back from that imo.
Keeping MB is great work, but wasting him again will undo all that.

Excellent news
Now its up to Radz to not waste MB again.
Stop failing in the transfer market and bring in quality.
MB i have confidence in, Radz i dont, hope MB is tougher this time and doesnt let the club off so easily.
Not withstanding you being a Barca supporter, (In my mind no better than being a Man U supporter), do you think it is possible to at least have one day off at having a pop at AR on the forum, and perhaps getting your leg over to vent your frustration at not having instant success through a gravy train sugar Daddy. Apologies for any offence to you or anyone else, but over the last season your posts have gone from informed , well thought out , intelligent posts to belligerent, childish, uniformed, factually incorrect, downright boring. I cringe every morning checking out the forum, which has led me to minimize my postings on football related matters.
For me last summer I feel MB was happy to just work with the squad and see what he had. The strikers we were after seemed more like just strikers that were available rather than Bielsa specifically wanting them. After not getting Vydra and Hernandez and us seemingly desperate to get a striker Orta signed Bamford, a player he knew rather than someone to specifically fill the criteria Bielsa wanted in a striker. Similarly you wonder how much Bielsa knew about the likes of Blackman, Baker and Harrison. It is possible Bielsa saw them play against Leeds on the videos he watched of our matches and thought they had done okay. I am sure this summer he will be far more focussed on bringing players in as he is no longer having to assess the players he has here. It always seemed like a 2 year project with part 1 being to assess fully what he had.

I've pretended to support a team that's been crap for most of my life as part of a long term plan

I agree with this and had a similar impression. This summer promises to be very interesting as it will reveal a good deal about Bielsa's true assessment of his roster's failings (his actions should speak far more candidly than he did publicly) IF Radz has given him the means to address them.
I reckon MB will already have loads of targets for the summer.
He will have been scouting players all season.
' "Football is about the people and the players,” he said. “Then there are those who will mingle in the middle: the coaches, executives and journalists. That last group represents the worst part about football" Marcelo Bielsa
Folks, delighted as can be, first time i have had a smile on my face since our capitulation in the playoffs.
Being Leeds, I always look at ways we will be knocked back, so my only concern is MB does a runner if he is not satisfied with the promises made to him , there is previous here.

This has always been my thinking and only fits into what we know about Bielsa himself. He's here to build a legacy in England, his work with the academy illustrates that, and the only real question mark was over how much backing he would receive. We can at least assume he's happy with that, and that he will only be happy with promotion next season after pretty much achieving everything but this season.

No need to apologise, you're entitled to your opinion and can express it if you wish, dont take offence to anything online tbh.
Dont agree with you but nevertheless not a problem mate.
That's great chaps we move on with our Daddy been Marcelo Bielsa operating a train that delivers plenty o' gravy for dinner & loads o' sugar for supper. Hip Hip ! For Leeds United.

Well said, I agree totally and am fed up with all the experts saying Radz this Radz that, he’s doing his best and has convinced MB to have another season to get us promoted.
