What did we create after 1-0? I can't think of any good chances.

Too many fans were declaring we won't miss Pontus, yet I said we will concede so many cheap goals as no one is dominating at set pieces. Yes the ref was dreadful, but Forest had one shot on target and we had no one on the line. Just no pace through the middle, Klich and Forshaw are too slow. Costa, Clarke, Shack, Nketiah are needed to be on the pitch. Phillips again lucky not to be off, I said he's over reckless lunging in and still hasn't learnt.
Don't think we missed Pontus tbh - in open play we squashed them and won most headers. He wouldn't have been on the post for the corner and it was Phillips who lost his man, not one of the CBs. When was the last time we had the fortune of a ball hitting one of our players and going in?

I do think the midfield lacks spark at the moment - Forshaw, Kilch and Phillips are quite similar - Shackleton us the obvious replacement, but like I said earlier, with Phillips booked you would want to risk taking Forshaw off as he's our next most natural DMF...

Give Forest some credit. Thought they defended their third very well, particularly in the first half. Started to tire and grew a bit ragged in the second. After Pablo scored they could only hope for a cheap goal and they got it. We deserved at least ONE of the non-calls to go our way.

Not sure what MB sees in Ali though. All he did out there was lose/give away possession.

Jesus H Christ ...still with the Jansson and Saiz love despite Saiz being mostly s**t after the suspension AND NOT WANTING TO PLAY FOR US! and Jansson clearly not in White's class...Jansson plays we probably lose 2-1 and the stats back that up !!!

Not scoring goals for me, it's gifting cheap goals away constantly. Bristol City last week and today again.

Costa - 8 - Bought down twice in the box and I can see that being a pattern this season. He's going to be a nightmare for defences once he starts. He scores or creates a goal if he's not fouled today

Alioski - 6 - Was on the pitch for a bit.
Agree in the main with yours, but think it's a bit harsh on Bamford - he did everything but score today (I know that's his job...) and I think he'd be on an 8 if one shot had gone in...

Spot on about Costa creating a goal if he wasn't fouled - he was getting to the byline and taking two defenders out of the game. Shambolic refereeing for those and the Fallas one, which the assistant should have given straight away.

White hardly put a foot wrong today, and imo looks much more assured on the ball. Yet to see any aggro from him so far as well... does what he does and gets on with it.

Be interesting to see how Bielsa deals with Nketiah, Bamford trying hard and I like him but you can’t help but feel if we’d had a Dwight Gayle upfront today we win that.

At least in Costa, Shack, Clarke and Nketiah, we have players that can come off to change the game. Costa should have been on at HT, as we had no pace to drive at players, so we were too predictable playing balls out wide to Harrison.

Alioski for Harrison was a strange sub, Jack was excellent throughout and Alio offered nothing when he came on. Agree about the midfield lacking zip, i'd be inclined to move Pablo inside and start Costa wide right. Not too much wrong today that a better ref wouldn't have solved.

I agree White's been good, but Jansson has been outstanding for 3 years, so to say he's not in White's class based on 2 games is ridiculous. I said last week the hoofball teams will have a field day against us at set pieces, as the only dominant CB we had was sold. Not going to say Pontus was sh*t because we sold him.

Dissapointing given the way the game went but the form shows forest are a bogey team so a point will do. He didn't have a bad game but at home forshaw should be dropped, costa played and Hernandez moved in to the middle.

Suspect Harrison got pulled owing to that shot to the groin. He (understandably) lost a step after that. I would have rather seen Clarke come on though.

We were very good today, just robbed by the ref and a striking weak spot. Nketiah is probably better suited to the style with the pace and movement that's worked in the past.. I like Bamford but he has to stop taking too many touches and his decision making is not instinctive

It looks Ali will always be first on, like Dallas and Douglas were always on first last season. He isn't a game changer, especially at LW. He's a good LWB.

The defence isn't tall enough ,simple as that. Every set piece into our box will cause problems . Every manager will know how short we are and that will be our downfall. Bielsa like defenders to play out but their primary role is to defend but from set pieces against tall opposition they'll struggle.

I'm not saying Pontus is s**t either, but he wouldn't have changed that result today imo.

We need to move on from 'if x was still here' because it does nothing for us. Had Beckford stayed we'd have been promoted first season back...
