Taking Any Ex-Players Back?

I'm definitely a romanticist but I think of all the players we lost because we weren't in the top tier. A few of these I would love to see back. Some unrealistic.

James Milner - someone mentioned he'd signed a new contract but he doesn't play much at Liverpool. Always keeps making hints

Aaron Lennon - Free agent - At 33, would he cut it?

Kasper Schmeichel - Unrealistic

Chris Wood - Unrealistic

Danny Rose - Unaffordable

Lewis Cook - Def possibility if relegated

Fabian Delph - Possibility - only contracted through 2022

Robert Snodgrass - Haven't seen him play in a while

Sam Byram - never seemed to develop

Charlie Taylor - bad departure - but also unrealistic

I would only possibly take Cook back, but he's also had some bad injuries. Milner for me is pointless at this stage of his career.
No room for sentiment.
I'm sure Orta/Bielsa can pick up better players at better prices, with much more potential that MB will develop into superstars.

James Milner would definitely be a great squad addition, although it would be doubtful if he could play 30+ league matches and within whatever number he would reach, play 90 minutes

Milner for experience and ability to play many positions . Cook might be worth a punt if price was right . Too many of the others too old or too injury prone ........I know Milner is probably oldest of the lot but he's kept himself in decent condition .
