One of the reasons I did not want Cantwell... Shacks would be forced out ... Don't think God was going to allow that to happen

Nice strike but the amount of time the ball sat untouched was shocking from Villa..Had that have been scored against us we'd be heavily down marking our defenders and calling it a defensive error. The second goal was our best after great work from Klich and great strike from Paddy with his strong foot.

Couldn't agree more, the goals will get the plaudits but Aling was superb all night. Certainly the best performance by a centre back this season by a distance for us. Probably last season too

I can't stand the diving git but he does look like a very good player when he plays rather than dives.
Marcelo would make him a world beater and not stand for the diving (I thought he dived over Struijk as he had him beat and could have continued had he ridden the lateish challenge fairly easily)

Yep, no clue how Mings wasn't sent off. Though as said Struijk could've walked — also why make that challenge less than 20 seconds after you've been booked? No clue why.
Tbh I thought most of Villa's players looked absolutely knackered not long into the 2nd half then we just totally dominated.

Not disagreeing but the same can be said about Bamford. Every player does it, to the point where Jack Harrison gets fan mail simply because he doesn't do it. It's just the nature of the game. Unfortunately.

loving life in the prem so far - just hope it continues, loving the performances from the boys, only lost two games to liverpool and wolves by a single goal, drew with city, and 3 wins?! how good is that start! only the wolves result disappoints slightly really
I'm still buzzing this morning. As I said previously, I only saw from from 35 minutes onwards as I was trying to find a working stream but what I saw was nothing short of astonishing.
The second half was as good a half as I have seen in a long, long time.
I can only comment of what I saw but I thought Ayling Klich, Shackleton and Dallas were all outstanding and Harrison and Costa were much improved on the Wolves game.
Pleased for Paddy as well.
Really excited about Raphinha, he looks real class from his two cameo appearances so far. I think he will end up as our regular number 10.
Now, after 4 days between the Wolves and Villa games, we now have a 10 day gap to the Leicester game.
