Maybe Hernandez on, for Harrison, at HT?

Defo, if he's on some of them chances would be converted.CHAPELALLMAN wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 12:47 pm Finishing still an issue then. I think it's true to say that Pablo has been our best finisher in recent years.

Pablo starts for me every match as long as he's not injured

Happy with that. A couple of lucky escapes but overall we've managed the game well. Some +/-....
+ Ayling - Brilliant, clever defending, really putting his body on the line
+ Rodrigo - Superb ball retention, really making things tick in midfield
+ Raphinha - Some really clever runs and passes, should have bagged one
+ Bamford - Superb holdup play and ball winning, brilliant pen
- Klich looking quite out of sorts, again looks like 2 1/2 seasons of perpetual Bielsaball is taking its toll
- Some little but possibly costly errors from Strujik, hope he can iron those out

We need to find our rhythm, if not we’ll concede. Only question is will we have scored another by then.

Good, but not great, half.
Meslier got very lucky, to be sure, but the score is a pretty accurate reflection of the game so far.
The USA studio crew (Rebecca Lowe and Robbie Earl) can't shut up about the call on Meslier. To them, it's the only thing to talk about. Although to be fair, Robbie Earl says Leeds deserve to be in front.

Their defence looks v vulnerable to balls over the top and one of their CB’s has been booked - need to keep at it. Klich worryingly at sea.
Very lucky not to concede to Meslier mad jump. They are obviously working with him on this but he didn’t look confident at all coming out to that.
Need a second to calm it all down and draw them out further.

We had one moment of luck with them having a goal disallowed. Wood also had a good chance with a header but otherwise we've been comfortable defensively even at set pieces.
Out attack has been fluid, creating lots of chances as usual. Two or three really good ones which should have been scored.
Un Marcelo Bielsa, solo hay un Marcelo Bielsa. Gracias Marcello. Marsching on together.

We're the better team for sure. A couple more chances that we could have put away - Harrison and Rodrigo. Nice to see the ref on our side for a change. Thought Meslier was given an escape. He could have called Wood later for pushing down on Ayling's shoulder at the back post.

Doing ok mate.
Usual stuff, missed chances should be 4-1 up.
They had a fair goal chalked off.
We keep giving the ball away and conceding daft set-pieces.
Need to convert our chances or they could still do a smash n grab.
Need El Magico on.

Should be 3-1 up or even more. Hope they don't live to regret these missed chances again. Keep it simple, stop giving away needless fouls and improve the passing accuracy and we should have this.....but this is Leeds

Exactly. We're in front, we've got all the time in the world. Ironic us playing noticeably more conservatively and looking to hit on the break but it's certainly working.Boo Radley wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 12:59 pm Good summary Moth!

Who was it who wanted Meslier to come out for aerial balls more? Be careful what you wish for!

Klich does look a bit tired... I would put Shackelton on instead
