Leeds travel to North London on Sunday afternoon hoping to keep their three match unbeaten run intact, but face a resurgent Spurs side with Antonio Conte at the helm.

Leeds will yet again be without Patrick Bamford. The Leeds hitman is making slow but steady progress of overcoming his ankle injury. If midweek reports are to be believed, he may be out for a further month. Joe Gelhardt will make his first Premier League start up front in place of Rodrigo who has a minor foot injury. There's no return in sight for Robin Koch, still recovering from the groin injury he sustained on the opening day of the season, which required specialist surgery in the United States. There is still no return for Ayling and Shackleton but Junior Firpo returns to the bench. Versatile utility player Stuart Dallas will again feature ar right back with Pascal Struijk at left back.

Raphinha is not fit to play after being the victim of a vicious elbow to the face whilst on International duty with Brazil, Dan James will take the right wing role. Bielsa sticks with Adam Forshaw and Kalvin Phillips in midfield with Mateusz Klich will play in a more advanced role. Bielsa will be hoping that £25m signing Dan James can replicate the same form he showed whilst on International duty with Wales, especially against Belgium.

Spurs will be without talented midfielder Oliver Skipp who is suspended, and centre back Cristian Romero who suffered a hamstring injury during Argentina's goalless draw against Brazil during the early hours of Wednesday morning. Son Heung-Min also picked up an injury whilst on International duty (with South Korea). A late fitness test will determine whether he's fit to play. Pierre-Emile Kordt is battling to be fit after picking up a knock during Conte's first match in charge against Everton. Ryan Sessegnon and Bryan Gil return to the fold after injury.





This will be the teams 100th meeting in all competitions, with Spurs edging ahead with 37 wins to Leeds' 33 as it stands. Tottenham have won their last four home league meetings with Leeds. Last season saw a 3-0 win for Spurs in London whilst Leeds triumphed 3-1 in the return fixture at Elland Road. Leeds have gone three league games without defeat for the first time this season. Leeds have drawn five Premier League matches in 2021-22, as many as they did in the whole of last season. Marcelo Bielsa's side have not kept a clean sheet in any of their five top-flight away matches so far.

Tottenham could equal their club record of four league games without a goal for the first time since 2006. Spurs have managed just nine goals in the league in 2021-22 - only bottom side Norwich have scored fewer. At the same stage last season, Son Heung-min had scored 10 league goals and Harry Kane had eight. This season, Kane has scored just once in 10 Premier League appearances. In all competitions, he has gone five consecutive Spurs games without a goal for the first time since 2016. The England striker has show signs of regaining his form on international duty though with 7 goals against Albania and San Marino.

Once again, very fortunate to acquire a ticket for this game. just need to get lucky with the West Ham & Brentford away games, then I would have attended all the PL grounds, including the three new stadiums.
All the championship stadiums covered, plus I've done many of the League 1 & 2 grounds & several non-league/Scootish ones too

Sunday is going to be a long day, will feel even longer if we get beat I'm not very confident at all.

Hopefully the international break has worked to our advantage, in that Conte has so far had limited time to drill his players into the formation and style of play that he desires.

The resurgence of Kane is a worry, but if Son misses out then that's a major part of their goal threat eliminated. It would also be nice if Hojbjerg was unavailable, he got injured at Everton and missed Denmark's matches, but maybe the break has given him enough time to recover?

The injury situation has echoes of previous recent seasons. We lost Koch, Llorente, Rodrigo and Forshaw for a lot of matches last season, so it's deja-vu when you think we've so far had Koch, Bamford, Firpo,, Phillips, Llorente, Ayling, Harrison, Struijk and Shackleton all unavailable. Koch seems injury prone for a young guy, and we already have quite a list of injury prone players. Gelhardt is unavailable at exactly the time that he might have established himself in the first team.

I wonder what the true story is with Bamford? Leeds were initially talking about him missing one match with an ankle knock, but his last appearance was on September 17th. So I'm wondering if this injury was actually worse than the initial prognosis, but they're just not coming clean with the truth? Two months is a long time to be out with an ankle knock

We let Alioski go, and Leif Davis go on loan, and then our LB has mainly been injured, so we're back to Dallas as first choice left-back. Not a great position to put ourselves in, when you compare it to the abundance of CBs we have: Llorente, Cooper, Koch, Struijk, Cresswell.

I'd imagine it's the nature of the injury and age. The older you are the slower you heel and some injuries though less serious take longer to heal ... This won't be a medical staff issue
