Can't stand Catalans....or Toulouse. Would much prefer English clubs in our English league. Clubs with a proper rugby league history like Featherstone, Widness, Bradford for example.

St Helen's are investigating "vile racist abuse" at a 7 year old Catalans fan who was wearing a Catalan Dragons kit whilst watching the game. The little boy, Oliver was left in tears by the abuse his mother said.
She tweeted "First game of the new season should have been fun for Oliver tonight and it would have been had he not had to endure racist comments". His mother's tweet said a small number of fans in the crowd had wrongly assumed Oliver was French.

The Club tweeted " We will be investigating this matter. We would like to invite you and your Mum to join us in our players lounge when you're next at a Saints game to show you we're all a rugby league family. Rest assured a small minority of fans do not represent the views of our club"

Well that didn’t exactly go to Plan A. Castleford’s exciting ‘new era’ looks suspiciously like the old which doesn’t bode I’m afraid. A good dose of WD40 needed to ease out the rustiness.
Looking forward to next weeks trip to Warrington. Not.

Hmmm! Gonna be an interesting season. Don't like Salford, didnt expect that result.
At least we've got another passion and something else to discuss other than Leeds Utd.

Swanny, how are Wakey expected this season? Another fight to avoid the drop? I haven't kept up on the comings and goings or any friendlies (if there has been any).

Wakey have signed a new coach in Willie Poching. We picked up a bit after Chris Chester left last season under Poching so fingers crossed Lumi, we will fair better than last season. I'll keep you posted as much as I can :)

Ground redevelopment should start in March after the home game against Cas....

Looking forward to seeing how Fauisita goes for the Rhinos today looks a big unit.

that's exactly was the Cas forum is saying. Sounds like Plan A was to give it to Westy. Plan B also. Half backs non existent, when everybody expected them to shine behind that big pack. I listened to the game on the web BBC Leeds, and heard a capacity crowd going into silence at half time and staying that way.

Anyhoo, I'm a Rhinos fan today for 80 minutes (never thought i'd say those words). Its rumoured (from an impeccable source) that Powell negotiated himself out of the last year of his contract, presumably to help the club out through Covid financial worries, then agreed to join Warrington, who found themselves in the fortunate position of not having to pay a fee to Castleford. For me that's right on par with a No.10 party.

Come on Rhinos (he gags).

Two quick tries from Leeds see them take the lead despite being reduced to 12 after a red card for Bentley
