What a crazy, crazy game of football. Should have been 4 up at half time and when we weren’t you just knew what was coming - them equalising, in injury time of course. I must admit I didn’t know that we would retake the lead on 94 minutes though - never expected that. Congratulations to Raphinha for never saying die and to young Joffy who seems to know where the back of the net is. Phew!
Norwich are not a great side and we outplayed them in that 1st half and should have killed them off. It was more or less even-stevens in the 2nd half, which is slightly worrying considering they’ve been rock bottom for most of the season - thank goodness we got a result, by the skin of our teeth, in the end. Another 4 wins should just about do it.

Would agree with that. Although the ball was played to Bamford he was never in an 'interfering with play' scenario as it ended up drifting away from him and his marker so neither of them went for a header and as such neither interfered with play. Could easily have been given as offside on another day though or if we were playing a top 6 side.Finnatic wrote: ↑Sun Mar 13, 2022 6:14 pm If the ball had been headed away by the player marking Bamford it would have been called for offside, but because it sailed passed them and was cleared by the other defender it was deemed as ‘not interfering’ by Bamford.
Lucky on this occasion, but then Norwich aren’t a top six side, it could have been different.

Put away our chances in the first-half & we wouldn't have been in that situation. Once again, we had to rely on young Joe to get us out of trouble.
So pleased for the lad

A very good performance & three welcomed points, they don't half put us fans through the wringer!
When Joffy scored, one big fella picked me up & chucked me in the air, thankfully I landed on my feet when I hit the ground

If Marsch concentrates on finishing in training from now to May we might be OK.

I fully expected Norwich to get a 2nd equaliser as I have no faith in our defence whatsoever.

Re: Leeds United v Norwich City Match Thread - Bamford starts for Leeds
Hope Gelhardt is okay. After he scored he ran off to the fans and did a slide and had a result similar to Bamfords where the slide seemed to stop and his knees jarred into the ground. I really don't know why players slide like that, I scored a few goals over the years and never once thought about either sliding or taking my shirt off.
Also noticed when watching highlights that when Norwich scored their equaliser they ran off to celebrate rather than getting the ball and trying to speed things up. Given where they are in the table if I was a Norwich player I would have been wanting to get the game going again and trying to snatch a win. A point for them, whilst a good result in isolation, would have still left them in big trouble.

Feeble wasted substitution.Kennyb41 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 13, 2022 4:26 pm You don't stick a Koch on when the midfield's just looking like it's working, you keep going for the throat and perhaps shore up after 85mins ( Bert wouldn't). It totally unbalanced us all over the place, and the Koch has to get into a vital role straight away.
I hope to fck it was forced, and even so was wrong sub.
We can't defend, so we should have gone for it
It was a long last 35 minutes.
