Leeds welcome Manchester City to Elland Road for an early evening kick off on Saturday. The blue side of Manchester are currently fint themselves behind Liverpool after they beat Newcastle in the early kick off. They will be desperate to regain their position at the top of the Premier League. Equally determined, Leeds will be wanting to put distance between themselves and the chasing pack at the wrong end of the table.

Leeds have no fresh injury concerns. Although Raphinha was seen clutching his hamstring during the latter stages of Monday's goalless draw at Selhurst Park, it was nothing too serious. Kalvin Phillips completed 90 minutes (against Palace) for the first time, since the reverse fixture back in late November, and will feature in a very defensive Leeds line-up. Firpo, Struijk and Koch all start alongside Ayling and Dallas with Llorente dropping to the bench. Raphinha and Jack Harrison will provide the attacking options with Rodrigo up front as Dan James drops to the bench. Liam Cooper was due to start but will be replaced by Klich having limped off during the warm up.





City Manager Pep Guardiola was expected to make changes to the team that beat Real Madrid 4-3 midweek. Joao Cancelo is back from suspension and will start. The biggest news though is that Kevin de Bruyne has been named on the bench, some releif for Leeds defence perhaps but they still have Phil Foden, Raheem Sterling and Jack Grealish to contend with.

Yeah, I've also had Jimmy Greaves' "Funny old game" phrase rattling round in my napper when I've been contemplating LFC and MCFC lately.

Since Jesse came in and has, apart from Villa, tightened us up defensively I am way less apprehensive than I was before we were facing Scum, Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal and Citeh.

Citeh and Guardiola have an immense amount of psychological pressure being brought to bear on them, and with the feats of Liverpool it's intensifying. Liverpool already have the League Cup in the bag, and are in the FA Cup Final after eliminating Citeh in the semi-final. Liverpool have a long history of success in the European Cup and the Champions League and are well placed to reach the final again. Whereas Citeh have continually failed in the Champions League, and Pep has not been able to solve the puzzle. Citeh's semi against Real Madrid is still in the balance and they need to get a result in Madrid in what will be an intense, challenging atmosphere.

With all this swirling around the heads of Pep and his players, they must also feel that Liverpool are in an invincible vein of form and are unlikely to falter to relieve the pressure on Citeh. I like the way Jesse has instilled a ruthless, physical side to our game which could help to knock Citeh out of their stride. If we can get at them early, and nick a goal, or even just frustrate them, then they will feel the pressure intensifying.

The time is ripe for us to beat these lot and get some payback for the humiliation we suffered earlier this season. Let's show these cnuts what Dirty Leeds is all about

C'mon Big Jesse you've done amazing up to now, the world and his brother are in awe at your tactical genius, stick to ya guns old chap and play Citeh at their own game, don't be frightened there's nowt to be scared of, it's 11 v 11 don't forget and we're at home in front of 35k adoring fans who love your style whatever the fck it is.
You said you're gonna come out and play I've no idea how you're intending to do it but can't wait, it'll be an eye opener for sure, some reckon you're now on a level with Mourinho and big Sam with your defensive coaching skills , i must admit you seem to have achieved much success with the defence that the pundits think you're some sort of new Greek God, and we still look like we can score when we want !!

This has the potential Jess to be the game of the season, go for the early goal please and totally knock them off their stride and befuddle them with your science, stats etc and freak them out by springing a few surprises with the youth, leave Pep scratching his bonce searching for answers to your genius

For a fantastic spectacle for the world to sit up and beg for more, we need a Citeh goal in the first 5 mins, then watch us go get them, it has the potential to be a classic.

They scored four against one of the best teams in the world and quite frankly should have had seven and be looking at a comfortable second leg.
As it stands, it's right in the balance and that definitely does us a favour, if only a small one.
PG will want to rest some of his players although Sterling, Grealish and Gundogan are all likely to start against us as well as Cancelo. I expect others such as Ake and that horrible fucker Fernandinho will also start.
In all honesty playing them at home sandwiched between their two CL semis is the best we could have hoped for.

Citeh have bigger fish to fry now they didn't put enough of their umpteen chances away against RM. There will be plenty of changes for them but who really knows other than Pip what is Citeh's best side. All i know is it won't contain Mendy.

I think we will lose by 3. The Liverpool fans at work really think we are going to win. I can't lower myself to their delusion.
