Love the way people can watch a game & see things differently, IMHO Byram never missed a tackle, positioning was excellent especially when BC we’re putting us under pressure in the 1st half & created 2 of our best chances for Bogle’s & Joseph’s headers. Swings & roundabouts with him & Firpo, Firpo (may) get more assists but will cost us goals whereas Byram is way & above the better defender. I know which one I’d want in my team in the Premiership.

Haha definitely interesting the different perspectives, really like Byram and agree he's a far better defender just that he doesn't seem to have that pure athleticism on the break Firpo seems to have.
More that I think Firpo fits the style of play better, faster in transition at the cost of defensive positioning kind of thing. Whereas I thought tonight we looked a bit too methodical/lethargic going forwards, never really looked like we were going to cut them open.
Not on Byram that and many issues facing us tonight (quite a few games in a few days being one).

The biggest contribution to a boring game was BC in the 2nd half. They were at home with an emotionally charged atmosphere and predceded to settle for a draw with 45 minutes to play. Even those last 5 or 10 I expected some risks from them but nothing.
Just made for a strange game all round really.
I declare my love for Saint Daniel and I can shoehorn him in to any conversation.

That's true but if it wasn't for Rutter and Sommerville we wouldn't have even made the playoffs!
Plus Rutter wasn't the same after his injury at the business end of the season.

A very good footballer who improved significantly under Farke.
Still learning & maturing at his new club, Brighton.
Two goals & three assists in his eight games at a much higher level for the Seagulls.
The best thing for that game was if someone scored early, us and we control the game and probably run out 2 or 3-0 winners. Them and we take our foot off the brake and we still run out winners 2-1 maybe better, at worst we get an equalizer.
But at 0-0 I think we stayed in second gear all game
Who's starting the Plymouth thread, we can't give them as much respect as we gave BC ?

Yes, I was suspecting the robins would bundle in a scruffy goal, they came nowhere close to scoring settling for a draw.
We only needed to score once to win that game.
A little more composure was necessary, but no we were slow in our build-up & then when we got in good positions in & around their box, our play was rushed & lacked the quality to break their defence down.

But I was actually surprised they weren’t all guns blazing. Second half was abysmal from them tbh.

Personally, whilst I get your point I see little value in suggesting who would have made a difference to the outcome, when the option is not available.
We had more than enough on that pitch but as is often the case we lack the finish. As the game wore on you could see the desperation creep into our attacking play. Speculative shots and a lack of composure in the final 3rd in a lot of aspects.
Getting an early goal seems to be really important for us in terms of settling the team down and playing with confidence.

I'd have started Joseph, dropped Aaronson back to the 8 (He's combative enough to play there, can carry the ball well and pick a pass, personally I think it's likely to be his best position) Piroe as the 10

Not surprised by that stat but it's something we will need to look at and try to find a solution to.

Even though it wasn't Gnonto's best game, I didn't understand his substitution, especially with no Ramazani, James was knackered & gone & Soloman is totally unfit.
And what was the point of bringing Bamford on, with precious little ammunition to provide crosses for PB or Joseph.
