Indeed Swannie, Farke isn't totally at fault with for cards he's been dealt with.

Re: Brighton and Hove Albion v Leeds Utd Match Thread
We were too passive off the ball.
Almost as if lack of movement is better than being caught out.
And I think DF does have an issue away from home at the top level.
Even if you are kind and ignore his top level Norwich record
He's played 22, won 2, scored 22 and conceded 47.
Whatever setup he uses doesn't work and never really has.
Maybe better players covered for it somewhat in the Championship but without it he doesn't seem to have much of a clue.

It definitely won't be a one-off, many more of these type of games to come, particularly away from ER.DDB220 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 01, 2025 5:05 pm Just have to hope it is a one off. We need a fit Gnonto back. As this team lacks a spark other than Okafor, who does all the hard stuff before realising we have no runners in the box to play it to.
That’s what annoys me the most the lack of options when we do get in a decent position, our attacking phases can more often than not be far too easy to defend.

And me too!
We play with three defensive midfielders, but fail to pick-up opposition midfield runners into our box.

How can Farke use words such as 'impressed' & 'class' after a horrific display?Cjay wrote: ↑Sat Nov 01, 2025 5:42 pm Farke here
We don't have to over analyse the game. There is no sugarciating they were the better side. Overall in the game it was quite equal - 50/50 possession. But out of their possession they were far more clinical.
We didn't start very well. We weren't brave or confident. If you're 1-0 down in the away game, its always difficult. After that I was impressed with how we handle it.
Deliveres were not as good and missed chances. Felt we were not that farw away from eqaulise then we gave the 2-0 and 3-0 in quick succession.
Bogle sub
Mentioned he felt poorly at half time. He was surprised to be taken off.
Calvert-Lewin lack of support
Was due to the way Brighton pressed. We couldnt use him that much, especially in the away game.
Attacking away from home
We are a newly promoted away side. Today fair assesment wasn't our day today.
We are self critical bc can play better.
Playing Aaronson in midfield
We wanted a creative numebr 10. We choose then to take more risk. He's played there before - perhaps we lacked physicality.
Any positives?
Reaction after 10 minutes. Bringing the ball in the opponents half, keeping possession. Was important we show class and team spirit.
This is what we did. Lukas had a great chance, could have perhaps taken a first. Overall wasn't our best day.

I didn't Faaip, watched them a couple of times & their highlights, I thought the Seagulls would be too clever & classy for us, the first-time I've predicted Leeds to lose in a long time apart from the Arsenal game. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Sat Nov 01, 2025 6:14 pm Worried about the Forest game now, really thought we'd catch Brighton a little cold today, considering they were only a point behind, and grab a draw. but ten minutes in the gulf in class was obvious. We do not pass and move like that

It happens a lot unfortunately.
Was a time it looked like we were pretty decent off the ball and well drilled.
Not any more.
We haven't had a clean sheet since August and have conceded 12 in the last 7 including against the likes of Burnley, Fulham, Wolves and West Ham.

It's too many cooks. 4 centre mids with no one knowing their exact role. It's a tactical issue for me

I was encouraged, but taking off Tanaka proved to be fatal. Think I’m going to revise my MOM and player ratings to shift Tanaka ahead of Amps, who had a poor day.

Been out at the horse racing in wetherby all day so this is the first game I’ve missed in a while from what ive read this was a good one to miss - was it just one to forget or was it a worrying sign of things to come?

Speculation is it’s a sign of things to come…at least on the road as there appears to be a bit of a tactical divergence between how we set up on the road vs. home. I think everyone thought that the Arsenal match put the “play it out from the back” tactics to bed, but somehow (perhaps in the spirit of Halloween) that “mummy” was exhumed again for this match… against another equally talented opponent… while on the road. Yes, read that again while trying to avoid bashing your head against the wall.
Match sucked. Be glad you missed that horror show.

Still more than two thirds of the season to go but it's looking like three from four for relegation - us, Burnley, West Ham and Wolves.
I think teams such as Fulham and Forest have enough decent players to pull away from the bottom.

Chuck Brentford in there too, they’ll come back to the pack.

That performance was disgraceful - he sent them out to defend for a draw and with luck snatch a breakaway goal. We conceded midfield and didn't press. As soon as we got possession there was a man on us. This playing out from the back tactic is a disaster wating to happen and it happened when they scored the third. Too many misplaced and careless passes and the first shot on target was in the 85th minute. I feel very sorry for the poor blighters that travelled all the way to Brighton to watch that crap.

Brentford seem much better than a bottom six team, from what I've seen of them.Barlow Boy wrote: ↑Sat Nov 01, 2025 11:23 pm Chuck Brentford in there too, they’ll come back to the pack.
Can't see it personally, Kev. A guaranteed three points for them, the next time we're in London.
