Great options from the bench. 4 wingers, 3 strikers, 4 midfielders (when fully fit). Wober at CB, Byram at FB.

My comment at the start of the season was that we needed players on the bench that Farke would trust and use. There were players on the bench last season he clearly didn't have faith in. This season, he certainly has a bench he likes. He's even been rotating/resting some of the starting 11.

Regarding last season, it was imperative that he needed to find a way to use the bench, irrespective of how he felt about it. The entire squad was on fumes and most on here could see it. He definitely has a bench he trusts more, but I won’t rule out the possibility of a consultant behind the scenes that is helping in this area (or perhaps a strict talking to Farke was given re: subs). Nonetheless, the results with subs are better and I cant help but think the better record is a byproduct.

Philly is the other team to watch for in the NFC. Barkley has been a monster! I think the Ravens will do typical Ravens things…look good while getting comfortably in the playoffs, but then look lost once there.

Agree re: KC. Unfortunately, like the Pats, Manure and Chelski, KC has a “champion chasing” fanbase element about them. Everyone here in Denver HATES them due to their being rivals. But there is quite an army of their fans here nonetheless. I imagine there being a similar dynamic with Chelski over in England (and goes without saying re: Manure). Also, Man Citeh could be good comparison to KC…

I think everyone loved Mahones when he first arrived on the scene. Certainly exciting to watch the way he has redefined the QB position. I cheered them to their first super bowl. But success gets irritating after a while. And there has certainly been a change in the way Mahones carries himself after the success.

Add to that there doesn't seem to be the imperative to win every week like we did last season. Weren't we 15 behind Leicester at one point? If we drop a couple of points here and there it doesn't seem to be so consequential this time around

Used to play a lot of table tennis for our local team & thought I was quite good until I played someone who was Irish Champion & played in a European league who gave me 10 point lead in every game & beat me 12-10 every time.

Jill & I are novices to the game & we're not very good.

Eight of us have a great laugh, we don't take it seriously.

My dad was a hell of a table tennis player, he even beat Fred Perry in the 1950's. OK Perry was in his forties and Dad about 24 but still.. One of those men that could play most sports to a high level and he never let me win.

Good point AJS. It was a bit of a fluke with the top of the table dynamic last year.

Observations after rewatch

Delight finishes for all three goals, James & Byram's were sublime.

Lovely pass from Tanaka to Soloman in the build-up for Sam's goal.

At times, two or three Luton players were marking Tanaka, coaches have sussed our impressive Jap.

Do your player ratings on how you remember the game from last night 64’ then do them after you watch the replay, would be interesting to see how they compare. It’s easier rating players after watching the game on tv with the benefit of replays etc and very easy to miss details while at the game.
