From what Burnley fans say Parker is very very risk averse at home.
They are a much better away side than a home one (points show that).
We are a much better home side than an away one and DF is very much safety first especially away from home.
Between us we'd drawn 50% of our home or away games, so a snooze inducing insomnia curing game was always on the cards.

I think what it shows is that Burnley's way of playing is probably the same home away, sit back and hit on the break. Away from home it works better as the onus is on the home side to attack (and entertain their fans). As such, mainly due to Trafford in their net, they are able to stay level and then grab an away goal - like they did to us. It then suits them even more as they simply park the bus, take the 1-0 or maybe get another breakaway goal.
We are totally different in that we go on the front foot home or away. I don't think we are at all risk averse away from home. At ER teams have generally come just to park the bus. As such we usually probe and probe, waste chance after chance but eventually get the goal and then the game pattern has been established and both sides carry on playing that way and we win comfortably. The last couple of home games have been different as we have scored early meaning the pattern of play hasn't become settled and the away teams have then actually taken the game to us a bit more - in some ways us being poor at taking early chances has helped us win games comfortably. We look more vulnerable when teams come at us therefore home or away.
Away from home we try to do the same thing. However this is where our poor finishing tends to cost us as we miss the chances but the opposition, playing at home and with an onus to try to attack, are creating chances too and if they score before us then it makes it harder for us as they do then park the bus. So basically away from home our poor finishing is the real problem whereas at home it doesn't matter as much as all our poor finishing does is make it so the game is 90 minutes of attack v defence and at some point we usually end up scoring.

Makes a lot of sense TBH and have to agree, DF set us up well, and though the match was dull, a point is better than losing against a side who are, by the numbers, brilliant. DF seems level-headed, calm and sensible, and the more I see of him at our club, the more I think and hope he could be the long term answer.

Definitely the type of game we'd have lost in previous seasons.
The selection of Byram & Gruev showed Farke's intent to come away from Turf Moor with at least a point.

Yes we negated Burnley's onyl real threat, the breakaway goal, whilst still having enough attacking players to wint he game. Our attackers had a bit of an off day but we never looked in danger of not taking at least a point.

It would have served Burnley's negative tactics right, had Dan James's volley hit the back of the net in the final minutes.
