Crazy football, if in danger, pass it back to Meslier, who then boots anywhere!Pullhard wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 4:54 pm The sidewards/backwards stuff can get frustrating.
James turned over a ball 15 yards inside their half at one stage. Three teammates ahead of him. 5 sidewards/backward passes later and Mes lumps a 60 yard clearance off his weaker foot onto the head of a WBA player standing where James made the original turnover. Aaargh.

Obviously improvement needed, but 44 games to go yet![]()
But, you can't blame our fans being totally frustrated by all the shenanigans, some of them should have been rectified by now.
We are three games into the season, we've dropped points & are out of the EFL Cup.

I'd have taken a point away to West Brom before kick off tbh, Leon.
The real let down today was the lethargic and torpid football from the players ( West Brom players included)
The match was a stinker.
Onwards to the next one............

We can always send up the Orta signaland Orta will arrive in Delboy's 3 wheeler to charm the knickers off some non-league chairman and get us the English version of JKA for £200 million with a 50 pence release clause

I watched WBA in the play offs last season, and they were just as awful as today. Corberan was scared to go for the win against the Saints.
They were tripe, and he's another careful, boring coach. As I remember they only had a go in the second half of the second leg after conceding.
So people, please don't try and tell me WBA are a good team with a good coach, they aren't, and they won't be.
Leeds were there for the taking today, but Corberan as per was too scared to seize the opportunity.
We played like WBA usually do today but aren't as brave on the break at they are.
Ironically us being so negative probably caught WBA off guard as they probably planned all week to be the ones defending and playing on the counter.
So it worked in that sense.
But we could have played till tomorrow and never scored
We will see what the 49ers are about very soon.
I'd expect 2 in minimum this week.

Re: West Bromwich Albion v Leeds Utd Match Thread
If you saw no wayward passing from him thats good, but i would assum then that in training he is taught to pass the ball like the rest of the players so why didnt they get their passing right ? Is someone going to say Farke is telling some players to pass the ball one way and to some others pass it differently ?
If Pascal can do it correctly then the others should be doing the same...yes ? so if they are not surely its down to bad technique from the players and not bad instruction from the manager.
We have become so intent on blaming Farke for evertyhing thats wrong its a joke. This is not pointing a finger at you Joe

Don’t think anyone here is criticising the point, just the manner it was achieved. Joseph created our only chance for me. But they maybe should have scored twice.

I feel Farke wants Piroe on the pitch because he is the best finisher at the club however we need to get the best out of him which is why I wondered about playing two up top. It might work Piroe up top on his own if we simply play to his strengths - a poor man's Harry Kane if you like.Kennyb41 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 6:34 pm Oh jesus Weasel, you can't play Piroe in a 10, i think the only way forward to try and get something out of Piroe is to get him in a 2 up front somehow (don't ask me how) After today i just don't see it happening with him at all, maybe DF should watch some Swansea Videos of him and see what they did with him, coz i've no idea. Paul needs to tell us what Aaronson can do and where he might fit in.
Hoping Joseph shows a bit more soon as at present he is just showing everyone why Farke didn't turn to him as a starter last season. Hopefully though he can still have the season some predicted.

I’ve already run around the garden naked three times tonight. In fairness I normally do it twice but that means i’m 33% affected by this thread.
I think it’s affected my maths as well.
