I don't post on the match thread because if it's a home game I'll be there, and an away game I'm more interested in watching and know for certain I would miss most of the game if I were commentating on it, but again, each to their own and it keeps the pages ticking over.
I was hoping DF wouldn't alter the set up on 70 minutes last night and he didn't, obviously realising just one sub could upset the whole ryhthm of the game, well done DF.

Totally agree there's nothing wrong whatsoever with any comments or analysis from armchair fans. In fact the more the merrier as it absolutely tickles me pink to read some of the nonsense written after getting home from the match so long may it continue.

Always interesting to read the match threads with hindsight. Worth noting that most games are an emotional rollercoaster and our minds are probably at their least sane during that time. Also worth noting that there's a lot of bollocks talked in the ground as well as on the forum.
Comments on the forum aren't always reflective of the overall mood. I might complain about the number of times Firpo made a stray pass and omit to mention the better things he did. For the simple reason that I'm not always on my keyboard for the whole 90 minutes. So, you could assume from a couple of my comments that I was bagging a player when I forgot to add that I thought he was doing OK as a whole.
As SubH pointed out, the matchday threads do enhance the experience of watching from home. I'm often watching the games alone. It's a lot more fun having a bunch of other misinformed idiots to share my thoughts with.

That's why it's such a laugh reading all the angst that get's posted during the matches, plus it's even funnier when we're playing reasonably well and winning.

Tbf as anyone whose been to matches knows the opinions of coked up drunk people is far more nonsense than gets posted on here during matchday
Case in point the famous Lasogga video where a gentleman advised him about getting his frame into the box just before Lasogga smashed in a worldie from outside it

All the people sitting near me are absolutely superstars and never utter a bad word about any player and definitely not the manager. They even sing Bamford’s praises when he makes an occasional appearance now and then.
You should try it sometime as it’s good for the soul.

Been to plenty of matches and know for a fact matchday fans talk every bit as much nonsense in the heat of the moment as "armchair" ones.
I've always been of the opinion that the owners of forums or the ones that reap the benefits of any advertising revenue, don't want members that 'nail it' because it's not necessarily good for traffic, and that they have their own 'members' posting controversial stuff purposely to create arguments, so what you actually read from some is not their honest opinion at all, they just want the traffic.
If you keep that in mind, you'll soon sort the curd.

Plenty of frustration, tension and angst at just about every game but overall I'd say still generally very supportive of all the players and the manager.
