There is no question in my mind that this team is a bit better. It was MUCH better balanced. More quality depth in the midfield and the wide attacking areas. But most importantly they proved it on the pitch. A hundred points and a league Championship is the ultimate proof.

wing backs - difficult as Farke insisted on playing a centre mid at full back. 24/25 edges it but might not have done so if farke had started Roberts more
Centre mid - again Gray should have played here which would have strengthend it so Gray/Geo/Ampadu/Kamara/Gruev over Aaronson/Tanaka/Ampadu/Gruev/Rothwell for me
Goalkeepers equal
Defence - equal
Depth - Equal ...
Farke may have balanced it better but I think last years team/squad a touch stronger

Bogle better than Gray & Roberts as a wing-back. Firpo's form improved.
So our wing-backs much more effective this season.
Bogle was sensational
I said at the start of the season we'd stand a better chance of promotion with Bogle at right back than Archie.
I always agreed that Archie had tremendous potential. That I would have liked him to spend the bulk of his years with the club. And if we could have kept him he would have been really useful as a RB back up or part of the midfield rotation. But, with promotion the priority, we needed an experienced specialist at RB. And Bogle was exactly what we needed. Plus we made a pretty profit.

There shouldn't even be a discussion. The point you make does make it pretty obvious which was the better team.

They appreciate the successful parts but once the club starts to suffer then the appreciation for successful periods is bound to be overtook by love for the club no?
And let's be fair managers aren't here for free, they are paid handsomely and then paid handsomely when sacked.
I find it hard to feel particularly sorry for multi millionaires who will simply walk into a new job anyway.
Not like they suffer great hardship.
Whereas if a club keeps a manager who fails the club could suffer great hardship, drop through the leagues etc

We scored 95 goals this season. Last season we scored 81 goals.
We conceded 30 goals this season. Last season we conceded 43.
We got 11 goals from our fullbacks Firpo/Bogle/Byrum this season. Last year we got 3 goals from Firpo/Gray/Byram/Roberts.
We got 14 goals from our midfielders Aaronson/Tanaka. Last year we got 8 goals from Rutter/Gruev.
So we can offer opinions on which teams we preferred. The numbers show this years team to be more balanced in scoring and better defensively. But most importantly THIS team earned 100 points and won a League Trophy. So that makes this team better.

Like I said, you are entitled to your opinion. And there were elements of last year's team that I really liked. Primarily the joy and flair brought by Georginio. Who was absolutely fun to watch!
But the bottom line is this years team was better balanced and more disciplined. They took much better care of the ball. And 100 points and a League Trophy are proof.

I've said all season this is a weaker division hence we'd win it comfortably. So I'm shifting nothing and you're ignoring context.. The laugh emolis make me f**king angry. I respect others and they show a lack of respect

The form of Jaden Anthony is one of the main reasons Burnley finished so strong, top player in his league. Roberts is a top 3 RWB.
I think Farke was better this year too, learnt from mistakes last season and finally took the leash off around January. Getting through the blip was excellent work too, that could have gone badly.

Well you can be as "f**king angry" as you want. It's not very respectful to try and shift your argument after I've given a detailed, respectful answer. What you did was disrespectful! And considering that we needed a goal in STOPPAGE TIME, on the FINAL MATCH DAY, to earn the 100 points necessary to equal Burnley and win the league on GOAL DIFFERENCE it's hard to argue that we've won the league "comfortably". But hey, perceptions can differ.
I'm willing to offer a virtual handshake. And we can agree to disagree, and move on peacefully as fans of LUFC.

Leicester were the stand out team last season.
Also there were 4 teams going for the automatic places rather then just 3 this season.
Plus most of the top Championship players from last season were either promoted or sold to clubs in higher division.
So yes last season the League was stronger at the top end but this season it was very competitive at the bottom so maybe that balances things out a little ?
I don't buy into this season or last season was stronger or weaker one bit and its silly to even suggest it was or not. The fact remains that Farke was three players short of his best players from last season. Players were brought in that could well have flopped under the pressure of being at Leeds United as many do, but, Farke galvanised those players into winners. I agree with BlackHillsPaul about the balancing of a squad. Tanaka, Rothwell and Soloman were excellent aquisitions although I knew very little about any of them before they came to Leeds. Goals came from a variety of positions which shows how balanced this season has been.
Overall we are promoted now and as a Leeds fan on any forum calling each other idiots isn't good either so tone it down guys were all fans with opinions and at times we will differ in opinions but there's gotta be some level of respect for each other also otherwise it becomes just another WUM website where anything goes and to be honest thats not going to help the forum.
Sorry to say my piece but thats just how i see it and always have done. be kind to one another.
