I'm not surprised mate, I was behaving like a big kid, we all were delirious with happiness, hugging all our fellow fans.

I said to my mate Paul going into the final minute, if Leeds score, it will be manic in here!

Two whacking bruises due to pandemonium.

My old mate Steve (White Riot) lost his hat & almost tumbled over.

Crazy scenes!

Not long back. Just knew it was coming same tactics every game sit back and invite pressure second half just can't do it against the bestvteam in the league.
The only team who have outplayed us this season would of been delighted to get out with a point
The 12th man won yous that game at the end .
It's over for us now just far too many gsmrd we can't see out .
We need to win our next 2 against hull and Wednesday and yous do sheff u then it'll be 2 points by the time they play their next game after yous
Keep trying to convince myself it's not over when in reality it is .
Absolutely gutted after tonight

39 points to play for yet pal.

I said to the lad at the side of me, when you lot were singing ‘Leeds are falling apart again’, they will regret that.

I'm not surprised you are gutted, mate.

I was hoping for a draw with 15 minutes to go, I couldn't even visualise us winning that game but, we kept going to the end & boom us Leeds fans are in seventh heaven.

Don't give up, Sunderland's season is not over yet. If you miss out on automatic promotion, you still have the play-offs to fight for!

Good luck for the rest of the season.

Not a clever song any more, that all the championship clubs love to sing.

Great renditions of 'I Predict A Riot' & 'Love Will Tear Us Apart' from our fans in the celebrations tonight.

Barlow Boy & I were discussing our next two games before the kick-off & we both thought tonight's game would be more difficult than the Blunts game next Monday.

Agree with this take, AJS. But feel Rothwell’s earned the opportunity to be the first midfield substitute role.

Farke has nothing but praise for Rothwell all over the media.
I must say i feel more confident in the team performing better with him over Gruev starting.
I wonder if Pascals head was turned in January by a Spurs offer, did we turn it down because we need him? Is Farke trying to get used to not having him starting because he might be off?

DDB220 wrote: Mon Feb 17, 2025 10:50 pm I like quite a few of the Sunderland team. Hulme is a terrific player and I wouldn’t say no to Bellingham, very athletic, technical and strong, he looks ready to step up to the next level. No doubt he will get a lot of interest in the summer. Sunderland should get a good fee for him and if they invest the money wisely will be in the running next season if they do not go up this year.
I was thinking the same thing about Bellingham.

Nah. He was injured and missed a bunch of games. Then he came back and we were playing so well that Farke was reluctant to make an unforced change. He has shown that a few times in the past. Remember when Dan James was injured and couldn't get in the team when he came back? Farke doesn't like to drop players when we're doing well.

Almost certain Pascal has forced his way back in now though. The good news is he's had a good rest and is well prepped for the run in.

Now you know how we felt back in the reverse fixture when we snatched a draw from the jaws of victory Safc. Was starting to think it was going to be another one of those nights where nothing worked but you’s tired badly and were out on your feet at the end. Our strong bench has come to the rescue more than once this season and so it proved again.
Won’t be taking anything for granted until promotion is guaranteed but last night was a massive step towards The Promised Land. Take heart in the fact that you went toe to toe with the top team in the division and could easily have come away with 3 points but if it comes down to it I don’t envy your time in the play offs.
