It left us with no choice definitely, but Okafor came on just before that so we would have made a go of it either way

CHAPELALLMAN wrote: ↑Tue Feb 10, 2026 10:42 pm It was a great point tonight, but one or two people are wondering whether overall we could be a bit bolder away, given that we are 18th in the away form league, with one win.

Did you see the comments when the team was announced this evening ? I wasn't even part of them...Or the comments at half time for that matter ?

I think with 4 shots to their 20 we were a tad lucky if we were to put a neutral hat on. Very satisfying though to see the consternation from their manager and no doubt their fans, given that I dislike that club more than any other.... :roflmao:
Take the point and move on.

Things went for us tonight.

We didn't deserve the draw if we are honest and West Ham probably deserved to win.

We showed some fight in the end which is the main thing and got something.

I Hope never to see that type of away setup again though, was bizarre for most of the game.

At this stage however the points come is what matters though.

Trust me, i like to have a good moan, when we are pants, and cant hit a barn door.. i will say it as it is

But right now we are flying, and based on form since turn of the year are in top half form :)
It would be nice to seal survival comfortably with the odd away win though wouldn't it ? And that might mean being a bit bolder at times.

We've scored 8 points from 13 away games, so 8 points out of a possible 39 away and an 8% win rate.

pandagirl wrote: ↑Tue Feb 10, 2026 10:37 pm Sorry i have to disagree there im delighted with the point
Only thing im NOT happy with is the not beating burnley earlier on in the season and a few other games where we should have won
But right now, a draw with chelsea who just won 5 on the bounce you kidding me? when we were 0-2 down?!
Awesome stuff at moment

Don't get me wrong by the way - I'm delighted with a point as well. I thought at half time that we might get battered. Most of the comments at half time were despairing ones...

Kind of irrelevant with 12 matches left though, if our home form gets us over the line that's all that matters.

A few points away like tonight, happy days.

But 17th or higher is the only target.

BTW i think Bijol needs to be fined
That was a deliberate attempt to give Chelsea a pen
He literally pushed him for no reason in the box
Two hands, to deliberatly give them a pen
Why would anybody try to give the opposition a deliberate advantage
He needs investigating maybe kicked out of the squad
I watched it back, theres no where on the pitch you would with both hands push over a guy whos going nowhere
Unless you want to give away a pen
There is greatness and then there is D C L ...

They have £800mil debt costing like £25mil a year in interest and on their last accounts owed other clubs over £300million in transfer fees.

No way they have factored relegation clauses into contracts you'd think.
Have you seen their upcoming fixtures, Cjay?

First target is to be mathematically safe asap, second target is to finish as high as possible. We're not that far off the top half.

I guess with Stach out, he was never going to start Tanaka in a game like that.

We'll be safe after the Burnley game (2nd May) with three games to play.

You heard it here first.

Dan James did well when he came on, defensively in particular.

It was weird. Couldn't believe what I saw when I finally watched the highlights.

Their guy was going nowhere away from the goal.

We still have to play seven teams in the bottom half of the table.
