Not sure but Bijol is more a body on the line lump of a defender which is probably wise v Arsenal and better in the air against a set peice specialist team

It's a formation that takes time to bed in. Gruev is one of the clubs best tacklers so I think he'd be the best and obvious man for man replacement of Ampadu.

I think longstaff replaces Amps and stach plays in Amps position.

He is more likely to go with experience. Gruev is not mobile or physical enough for me to play the role at this level.

We must find a place for Bijol to get minutes sooner than later.

Farke will more than likely just make the one change with Longstaff coming in to replace Amps. We may well see Bijol given a game on Tuesday night in the cup game, along with a few other changes.

Longstaff or Gruev for Amps is the only change I can see Farke making.

I do not think Gnonto comes out of the side anytime soon. He has started the season well, Noah will be introduced gradually.

Think Harrison might be a good idea to help defensively with Saka for this game but happy for Gnonto to play.
Gnonto could play on the right but would favour the pace of James on the break.

I think Gruev will probably replace Ampadu and in some ways he might be the best replacement as he is probably the purest 6 we have. I'd really like to see Longstaff though as his work rate, experience and distance covered is going to be a big asset.

Could Farke play all three CBs?

He tried to introduce that a few times last season, once at the start of a game, and a couple of times during games, each without success for whatever reason, it looked like the players couldn't nail it.
That doesn't mean he's given up on it and is actually good to know it's in his head, it means he didn't have the players then, I doubt he has now, but you never know, because he's definitely tried it, but i feel too early yet, especially v Arsenal away.
It's either Stach plays DM, Bijol, Tanaka or Gruev, hard to know without seeing them in training and i've no idea what Bijol would be like there I haven't seen enough of him, Farke should know.
I think the team would've picked itself and been the same without this setback, so i don't feel he'll want to upset the system by moving more players around than is necessary.
The fact it's Arsenal makes it an even more difficult one to call, who's the better player in Gruev and Bijol, can Bijol even play there?
Does he want to go more adventurous with a free hit of putting Stach there and Longstaff comes in with his Prem experience?
Does Tanaka play it?
Did he seem to favour Gruev because in the interview Gruev was the first name i think that sprung to his mind when questioned on it?

In fact, yes - I'll go for that, just for that reasoning - Same team as v EFC, but Gruev in for Ampadu.
But personally, i'd love to see that adventurous free hit with : Longstaff - Tanaka - Stach.

Great to have a squad again though to be thinking of options like that again though don't you think

Gruev came on for Ampadu against Everton which is probably a clue who Farke will go with at The Emirates.

Arsenal are a big side, particularly effective at corners, so there could be a case for selecting Bijol in the team, but Farke rarely makes many changes after a victory.
