Considering we lost 2-1 we played well, this was not on the players bar maybe DCL who basically missed an open goal which may have been going in anyway. Also the late chance from Longstaff's FK which he completely missed.

Perri - 6. Scares me with the ball at his feet.
Bogle - 6.5. Good 1st half
Rodon - 8.5. What a player
Struijk - 8. Miles better than Bijol
Gudmundsson. 6. Great run but no-one quick enough to give him options.
Stach - 5. Unfortunate injury
Longstaff. 6. A lot of good set pieces but overall game was poor.
Ampadu - 8. Back to his best today
Aaronson - 7. Looked better when playing inside
Nmecha - 7. A handful in the 1st half but like everyone else faded in the 2nd
Okafor - 6.5. Some good runs but needs to do more off the ball.



Tanaka - 8. For someone who was subbed on then off again was one of our best players, no idea what Farke was thinking.

Bogle - 8 (fantastic performance, neutralized Buendia)
Gudmundsson - 6 (thought he was average, not sure what stood out to others)
Ampadu - 7 (decent, didn’t notice much from Ethan so inclined to give him a 7)
Rodon - 8.5 (great performance from Joe. Looks every bit the part of a PL defender)
Struijk - 6.5 (great when we are on the front foot, but he has some brain farts at times…him leaving the ball for Perri when it’s right next to goal was shocking…clear the ball!!)
Aaronson - 7.5 (thought he was our best attacker. Would’ve been higher if he would’ve released the ball quicker. Indecision has always been a knock against him)
Stach - 6.5 (decent, but limited minutes…not much to rate)
Nmecha - 7.5 (more effective than DCL, extra point for the goal regardless of it was lucky or not)
Longstaff - 6 (good free kicks, but the rest was meh)
Okafor - 5 (poor by his standards)

Tanaka - 8.5 (fantastic when he came on. Blown away by his substitution)
DCL - 5 (handball, nuff said)
James - 5.5 (quiet)
Piroe - 6 (ok, but limited minutes
Gnonto - 6.5 (our most involved second half sub, but limited minutes)

6 Perri - Goalies are supposed to move, aren't they? kicking was suspect too!

8 Bogle - Aggressive, physical, smashed into challenges and got forward well.

9 Rodon - Immaculate as ever, kept Watkins quiet & a sublime for James to run onto for VAR no goal.

7 Struijk - Unlucky with his header, producing a fantastic save from Martinez.

6 Gudmundsson - Fans insist we are good down the left, Gabby & Noah also culpable for the Villa goals.

6 Stach - Played a big part in our goal.

6 Longstaff - Hit & miss. Some decent set-piece crosses

7 Ampadu - Plenty of effort and fight, got stuck in. Much better from our captain.

6 Aaronson - Decent work rate. Struggled in possession in the second half, dallied on the ball or lost it too often.

7 Nmecha - Didn't know much about his goal, but was in the right place. Worked his socks off.

6 Okafor - Dangerous in fits and starts. Slow to spot Malen's run ahead of the equaliser.

7 James - Used his pace to get in behind, so unlucky not to claim a goal, heavily involved in his cameo.

7 Tanaka - Good energy, pressing, fight and some quality on the ball too.4 Calvert-Lewin

5 Piroe - Naturally, looks rusty.

6 Gnonto -Got at defenders, but wasn't able to create much for himself or others.

4 Calvert-Lewin - A clumsy display, why handled the ball for what would have been a deserved equaliser.

Perri - 5, He's not better than Darlow, he just isn't.
Bogle - 7, Another good game.
Gudmundsson - 6, He got no help from Okafor so had a tough game but he's definitely our best signing this season.
Ampadu - 7, Consistently reliable but needs better quality around him.
Rodon - 8, Performing much better than I thought he would in this league.
Struijk - 8, Good game, he needs to keep this up.
Aaronson - 4, I don't know what he gives the team, runs around a lot but invariably loses possession or falls over.
Stach - 5
Nmecha - 5, Needs to improve his falling down when touched, some of his diving was embarrassing.
Longstaff - 6, Whatever else you say about him at least he can deliver a dangerous set piece ball and we haven't had that for a while.
Okafor - 5, Not impressed so far.

Tanaka - 8, Probably his best performance so far this season.
DCL - 4, I feel sorry for the lad, he puts himself about, plenty of effort but just doesn't seem up to it. Hope he proves me wrong.
James - 5, His pace isn't as much a threat in this league so he must improve his passing and shooting.
Piroe - 4, Just simply not good enough for this league.
Gnonto - 5, Looked lively, I'd start him next game.

Overall I'd say a 6.5 out of ten performance and were unlucky to lose, but unlucky won't get us to 38/40 points.
