Dennis Wise took over as manager of Leeds United in 2006 during one of the most difficult periods in the club's history. Despite the club going into administration and being hit with a 15-point deduction in League One, Wise helped guide Leeds to the play-off final in 2008. He left the club mid-season to join Newcastle United in a director role. His spell is remembered for resilience amid chaos.
