Those challenges are part and parcel of the game. Most if not all the players push and grapple at some point during a game. Perhaps some are more subtle than others.
The Ayling flop came about with responding to a player shove from behind.
Not sure why you have singled Rodon out.

Well, I singled him out because he was playing in the game we are discussing. He could have ended up with a suspension, he needs to stop stupid fouls.

You missed the point then. Nobody on the forum saw Rodon get booked. It was the commentator who said he was booked. Everyone was just responding to misinformation from the commentator.

100% True DDB. Some fans complained about Farke not using his subs well enough last year when the truth was what he had on the bench just wasnt good enough to have the right effect in the game. This season as you and a few others have said we have a much better and balanced squad and thats why he is making the changes as he knows those he brings on will make the difference thats required the game.

When Wober came on I was thinking Farke was doing it so as to either rest Byram with a view of playing him as centreback (to replace the banned Rodon) on Saturday or to give Wober a longer run out with a view to him playing centreback - then a few minutes later the commentator corrected himself and made it clear Rodon hadn't been booked. I wonder if Farke had also thought that Rodon had been booked as it was an unusually early sub!

I think Wober coming on early was down to Byram just having played 80 minutes on Sunday and starting again today. He started two games on short turn around last season and got injured. If we'd still needed another goal I think Byram would have stayed on longer as I don't see Wober giving us the same options going forward.

I did have the same thought about Wober too as I was still under the impression that Rodon would miss the next game. Giving him 30+ minutes was good prep if he was to start the next game.

We had a really strong bench last night and that was without Firpo, Gruev, Ampadu, Schmidt and Gelhardt
It will be interesting to see if Firpo comes straight back in against Blackburn.

We're a long way from the days when many on here were saying our squad was much too thin. Quality goes two deep at every position (or even three). Thought Ramazani looked very comfortable at the #10 in his little cameo last night.

Do your player ratings on how you remember the game from last night 64’ then do them after you watch the replay, would be interesting to see how they compare. It’s easier rating players after watching the game on tv with the benefit of replays etc and very easy to miss details while at the game.

No, he didn't have great options off the bench last season, Andrew.

Some folk will disagree, but our bench is much stronger this season.

My ratings will change a lot if I know the result of the game. Let's say I miss the game, know the score, then watch it later. I'm much more objective and can observe the game with a calmer mind if I know the score. I do wish I had the time to watch the game twice. But there's so much streaming on my list.

I almost think it's expected and Wober would have expected it too. He saw Aaronson get the cold treatment initially.

Philly is the other team to watch for in the NFC. Barkley has been a monster! I think the Ravens will do typical Ravens things…look good while getting comfortably in the playoffs, but then look lost once there.

Agree re: KC. Unfortunately, like the Pats, Manure and Chelski, KC has a “champion chasing” fanbase element about them. Everyone here in Denver HATES them due to their being rivals. But there is quite an army of their fans here nonetheless. I imagine there being a similar dynamic with Chelski over in England (and goes without saying re: Manure). Also, Man Citeh could be good comparison to KC…

I've said it a few times. Norwich, Sunderland and today. He looks a class complete number 9. But he disappears in too many games. Not sure if it's something to do with the way the opposition sets up. But I wish, I wish, we could see this version of Piroe on a regular basis.

Used to play a lot of table tennis for our local team & thought I was quite good until I played someone who was Irish Champion & played in a European league who gave me 10 point lead in every game & beat me 12-10 every time.
