Tonight just cements the defensive blueprint that crap teams will be play against us. Play 14 at the back and wait for us to run out of ideas. DF needs to work this out or it could get frustrating.

Dominated the game possession and chances wise but our defending still looked vulnerable against a league 2 side.

I really don’t know what to make of Rutter. He had a 20 minute spell in the first half where he looked really top class but then more or less disappeared for the rest of the game. He looks strong but doesn’t show much enthusiasm for closing opposition players down and is weak in the tackle. He generally looks languid and uninterested but, just occasionally, does something brilliant. Is he too much of a luxury player at this level?

Apart from that, another embarrassing night for this football club, just as we thought things were looking up. Oh well, the league’s more important, we can concentrate on that instead.
