You need these banana skin types at home. Haven’t they all been away going back to Bielsa. Pretty sure they’ve all been away.
I declare my love for Saint Daniel and I can shoehorn him in to any conversation.

Yup. Was exactly the same v Cardiff, and will be on Weds.Orange Box wrote: ↑Tue Aug 29, 2023 9:37 pm Tonight just cements the defensive blueprint that crap teams will be play against us. Play 14 at the back and wait for us to run out of ideas. DF needs to work this out or it could get frustrating.

We played some fantastic football, dominated the game, penalty denied, hit the woodwork twice, great saves from their keeper, shots blocked left, right & centre. Salford got lucky, if Piroe was eligible to play, we win that game.
Most annoying part was listening to Gary Neville & the camera's constantly panning on Keane, Butt, Scholes & co.

Have we seen him in a shoot out. Keeper is always the massive underdog against one during the game, when in most cases a penalty specialist is taking the spot kick.
If he faced us he would probably stand a better chance.

I think one or two have been on lash after reading some the comments. Thought we played reasonably well. Need some reinforcements, but it's improving and a decent watch.

Me too - however my problem was that for all the attacking play we failed again to kick the ball into the onion bag.Cumbriarents wrote: ↑Tue Aug 29, 2023 9:21 pm Very entertaining cup game. Shame we got beat on pens but I enjoyed the passing and attacking play we done.
Repeatedly in the first half, when we should have put the game beyond doubt, our players were grinning to one another after missing chances, clearly not believing that a committed inferior team might have enough about them to bite them on the ass.
I hope this rings a few alarm bells for players going forward - in the EPL you score or you lose, and any team can beat you if you don't.

Daniel Farke is not on borrowed time at all. He's working with the scraps which are left from the previous owners.
Rutter is still lacking confidence and I'm still not sure if he will cut it here at Leeds. We need to at least recover some of that 35m.
On the plus side Shackleton, Summerville, and Greenwood late on played blinders. Nice one to Pasquale for keeping the young lads heads together and scoring again.
Salford ciy through everything at our attackers and it worked a dream for them.......end of.
Sheffield wedds up next

What a load of bollocks !!! Yes we dominated the game and should have won it easily but this type of ending is quite a usual thing.... to suggest that Farke is on borrowed time is way beyond reality....give me some of your drugs !!!

Re: Salford City v Leeds Utd Match Thread - Farke Rings the Changes
It seems the consensus here is the Cup Competitions don't matter. And that the only thing that does matter is promotion. But in my view there are only so many opportunities to play for trophies. If you you don't care about winning trophies then what's the point???
Rutter once again disappoints. I told my wife no chance he hell he makes this. His effort could not have been more poor. I suspect he is one of those players that shows a moment of brilliance about every 20 matches or so. The rest of the time he's bang average or worse.

Even in the PL, we showed zero ambition to try to win a trophy.BlackHillsPaul wrote: ↑Tue Aug 29, 2023 9:48 pm It seems the consensus here is the Cup Competitions don't matter. "Was never realistic we could win this cup"
You can stop that negative talking down bollox Farke
This isn't Norwich
Don't like that type of comment

I'm really not fussed about this cup but hate being beaten by those dirty scummer.
Felt for Shacks, as I thought he had a great game. My player of the season so far. In every position he has played in he has delivered.

Took too long to make subs, and took too long to score.
Hopefully we take that kind of creativity into Saturday. Piroe would've got a hat trick tonight.

Go sleep on it, Dan, hopefully you'll think differently in the morning.
You can't blame Farke for that defeat.
Daniel's had some difficult weeks as our coach walking into a minefield of a job.
Piroe plays, we win the game. We played some fantastic football tonight.
