Good job orta has gone, imagine that
I think Archie is way above the likes of Jack Clarke, but had he stayed at Leeds, he has his immediate family only up the road, my fear for him in London is he's too far away from his family.
He needs Postugolou whatever his name is to treat him well, get him looked after on and off the pitch.
Hopefully Andy calms down and keeps Harry at Leeds to develop, trouble is, when his time comes, how long will United keep him for !!
I'm hoping when Harry is in the first team, Archie comes back

Yep, was really wanting to see Archie and Harry playing for Leeds together. Same with Charlie and Alfie Cresswell. Harry turns 16 in October, so could potentially make his debut this season. Andy needs to think about Harry's development more than trying to screw over the club he claims to love.

There's also Eddie's grandkids in the academy too.

How about we build the team around 2/3 academy players instead and stop wasting money?

I just hope there's no fall out with Andy over this and Harry stays at Leeds. That'd be a disaster to lose him for nothing.
How is he pushed out if he put in a release clause in his new contract?
That says he doesn't want another season in the Championship, might have been different had we got promoted.

Agree
Harry is one hell of a talent as well, would love to see him on the bench and gain some invaluable experience.

Incidentally, there's another two brothers after Archie and Harry. Not sure how old they are and if they're also in the academy?

This is the worry, Spurs underpay while we overpay. Rodon shouldn't be anymore than £10m and Archie shouldn't be less than £35m. Is anyone really expecting Kinnear to come out better with Levy?

Don't trust the club tbh. We're dealing with a Leeds supporting family, who knew staying at Leeds was better for his development. And then ffp/psr with "Pure profit" being the motivating factor. Foreign owners don't care about the romanticism of football, or clubs developing their own players, it's all about profit and £££ for them. The academy is just for them to sell for 'pure profit' and spend the money on more foreign players just using us to boost their career.

Maybe, we'll still see Harry play in the white shirt of Leeds.

Should change heading as it's opinion and rumour rather than fact. The heading is a little cheap click bait tbh.

Lets hope we see all remaining 3 , it's imperative they stay at Leeds to further develop their careers, thats why I'm shocked that Archie has gone so soon, as I've constantly said, if he stays another 4 years he'll still only be 22, thats a normal age for a young footballer to be furthering his career not just gone 18.

He's a couple of years behind Archie. Archie was fast tracked at 15 because Orta/Bielsa wanted the youth to be depth. Farke wants experience. And 49ers/RB will invest in experience.

Charlie Crew is the closest youngster we have. Full Wales international already

We bought him from Cardiff though, so not a local lad. Looks like Byram will be the only academy player next season, unless CC stays.

The 49ers had nothing to do with him having a release clause in his new contract that he signed in January, they didn't put it in, his agent did that with Archie's full consent.
That says to me that he wants to develop his career elsewhere or the release clause wouldn't be there.

Go watch the video I posted earlier, it makes sense as sad as I am with him leaving, it actually leaves us in a better financial position as there are plenty of choices for us to buy players in the position he plays, not the same as replacing Summerville.

Still think of them as a youth product if they start in the 21s. Or 18s in Crew's case. And always root for them hoping to see them make the grade.

Agree, 18 is too young and Spurs is the wrong move. Their fans demand instant success and won't give a young player time. Suspect it'll be loads of loans for Archie before ending up released like Clarke and Sessegnon. Also not much ambition career wise either. Would've preferred Dortmund/Bundesliga, but financially it'd have made no sense.

Yea as we say, it's all about money, nobody is thinking of the development of the player, if I see any the Grays up my way (elders) I will be asking a few questions.
Archie should have stayed for the development reasons alone, and if spurs use him as right back its even worse than I imagined.
The fee appears to dropping £5M every hour, is Rodon really worth £15M to us, or are we afraid someone else will take him when Farke has invested heavily on his progress.

It's because of ffp and academy players always bring in the most. The whole point of ffp should be for clubs to spend less and develop more homegrown players, but the opposite is happening. What I can't get my head around is flogging CC on the cheap. £3.8M is absolutely nothing! Should be like £10m.
