Yep, Farke has no tactics, but we knew that last season anyway.BillyBremner wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2024 12:15 pm Looks much the same as last season

Rothwell on second half, in place of Gruev.

Early test for Farke and his bench.

Not sure where Farke goes from here to change it up. Guessing Joseph will be subbed for Bamfraud. It'll be low block all second half while we try to walk in it.

We are playing well, it’s just the way it goes sometimes. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2024 12:14 pm I look at the bench and I don't see how we get better?

Pompy- three attempts on target, two goals. Same old, same old.

We're not playing that badly... need to let this run for a while longer. I don't think Joseph is the issue. the breakdown has come from Midfield.

Just thinking what Farke would do, rather than what I'd do.Clitheroe White wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2024 12:19 pm We're not playing that badly... need to let this run for a while longer. I don't think Joseph is the issue. the breakdown has come from Midfield.

Watching the game online through Paramount.
They tell me I can now pause, rewind, and fast forward the broadcast.
I tried fast forwarding, but I couldn't see how the game turns out.

I’m going to ignore the score line because I’ve really enjoyed that half, Pompey score two of the best goals you’ll see all season at ER. Fair play to them. We’re a bit rusty but some of our moves are bielsa-esque. If we don’t panic we’ll get this back. Rodon seems a bit stressed though I have to say. Joseph miles better than bamford ever was, he’s so strong.

To be fair it’s not a bad performance been unlucky with 3 against the bar, meslier let us down for the first and not much we can do about the second.

August doesn't count so it doesn't matter
Really good opening 15mins, could have been 3,4 up.
Using the full pitch, getting the ball forward quicker, even playing some balls in behind.
Then seemed to lose concentration, sloppy passes.
Poor defending for the 1st from Bogle, awful goalkeeping from Meslier
2nd was just a good goal
Georgie is losing the ball every time he gets it, James is having his poor end product days and Gnonto is doing a poor impression of Summerville so far
Ampadu and Gruev tidy though, Joseph really good and Bogle and Firpo good going forward.
But disappointing to be behind given how easy Blackburn made it look vs Derby yesterday
