Probably wise, I imagine you have a fairly heavy case.

Communication issue for the goals?
First goal: long ball on our right. Jayden should have been smarter with Ogilvie. Wide area free-kick the first time they were in our half. Difficult to defend against big defenders. Players were not in their natural positions.

Ball comes into this area. Good day, Illan probably saves this, 49/50. Individually we were not switched on in this moment. Small details. xG should have scored more than three and theirs was under one (loves using xG does Df)

Two things why we did not win: effectiveness in front of goal and conceding three times is too much.

Aaronson
Just a hug from me. No words are needed. Most disappointed lad in the dressing room. Back from his loan. Wants to prove his worth. Some mistakes. Could have been the hero. Normally a player of his quality scores this and everyone sings his name. Cannot press a button and be the hero again. Takes time to win the crowd back and be trusted.

Take the positives out of your first goal in first game back and there will be more moments from here in the future. Hero of one point today. No accusations from my side. Compliment for work rate and first goal.

Transfers
Last 24 hours concentrated on this game. No capacity to think about anything else. Did not want to be disturbed by others with transfer talk.

Triple subs changed rhythm?
Our game was not great after the changes. Over-motivated maybe to show in this 25 minutes every player wanted to show their worth. Mistakes across the whole squad. Quite normal at 2-2 after 75 and you have missed chances, perhaps some lads get tired. Natural feeling you get that nervous. Brenden had mistajkes. Joel trying to rove his worth too much. Difficult to say what the case was. (Players fault)

What happened at the end? Had to go out? Why isn’t Aaronson a hero scored a goal in the last minute?

If you score three you should win... If he wants us to score 5 every game to win games we're in for a long season. Is he starting to blame players?

With the chances we had the match could and should have been comfortably won.

But despite some good periods of play there was a lot of sloppiness about us. How many times did players fall to convert chances? Why does nobody appear at the back post for a tap in? Why no late runs into the box?

We played a lot of passes into touch, or to the opposition, which is really basic stuff.

Like the run in last season, and the play off final, opposition teams only seem to need one opportunity to score against us. This unravels all our attacking prowess and continually gives lesser teams hope of getting a result.

Meslier and Bamford both looked poor to me and are harming our chances. I thought Struijk and Joseph were excellent.

Agree with Faaip that Rothwell has not convinced yet, but should be given time, as Farke wasted two loans last season on Anthony and Spence.

Shout out to Brendan Aaronson for showing pride and fight, he almost won us the match. I'm not gonna criticise him for the miss, as many others missed good chances.

We have a lot of polishing and improvement to complete if we expect to finish in the top two.

Sloppy start imo.

That was my take, as well. Needs to be more self aware with his arm around the penalty area and could’ve been better positioned on their first goal.

Joseph did everything right but poor finishing.

Aaronson redeemed somewhat by the goal but missed a sitter.

Bogle very good going forward but at fault for 2 goals.

Gnonto took his goal well

Wasn't impressed by James

And Rodon had a bit of a mare, clearly struggling near the end
Agree with all of this, just add Piroe to the Paddy commentary :)

James had a curates egg of a game but that's what we get with James. He's a level down from Cry, Geo and Willy. Great player t ohave and should not have come off as we just gave Portsmouth a breather and they took advantage. We're much easier to defend when the pace is removed.

I'd switched off thinking we'd lost 3-2. But switched back on when my phone beeped at 3-3, just in time to see THAT miss :x Terrible. Not surprised you're frothing at the bit Kev.

There was no need to take Joseph off too, although much of the supply to him from our flanks had dried up due to the changes.
