Farke is paid millions of pounds to make those decisions and impact games with them.weasel wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2024 4:48 pm Amen brother. So many people say make subs and simply expect that the subs come on, are straight up to the pace of the game and win the game for you. Having made countless subs as a player manager it is far more likely that players come on and don't do as well as the player who was preferred to them in the starting line-up. There is usually a good reason that someone starts and someone is a sub.
That said one sub scored, should have had 2, and one sub got an assist. Not a terrible return even if it did alter the way we played (the same way that some fans don't like us to play anyway...)
I think it is a case of taking the point, not great but at least not a loss. Evaluate what worked well, what didn't and move on.
Great managers are good at it, average ones aren't.
It's not an 11 player game or why have a squad at all.
Farke made subs it got worse as he acknowledged, thats on him.
Had it got better and we'd won then he gets credit.
If you are going back to the players aren't good enough argument of last season which was proved wrong once those players got more time then you need to rethink your squad is fine with 2 squad players thing.
Can't have it both ways.
