Compare that to Boro.

22 year old with barely a handful of senior matches to his name.

A well past his best Howson at cb.

And Aiden Morris whose behind Aaronson in the USA pecking order.

Blaming our squad is the easy option.
Do you think this was maybe a warning from Farke to the board that we don't have the squad (and you need a squad of 24 if you includ three keepers)

This was last seasons team v Salford as you see fairly strong

Or just realists who don't hide behind excuses? :duno:

Perhaps you can tell us what was so great about tonight and the last 12 or so games?

No manager can win a match with 8 players turning up.

How many of the 11 were Ortas?

I though we were unlucky. Dont know why we keep struggling to score goals.
Im with the board on transfers. I dont think we need any new faces.
With this squad and Farkes tactics we will be there at the end of the season
I though Aronson was really showing us who should be our no 10.
Come on Leeds
Aaronson was good first half, got stuck in and showed some real class. He might be a good addition this season.

Read my comments - what I don’t do is suggest sacking a manager after two games.

Well..... Well... Well...

Its early doors and I do think we'll improve and genuinely happy we're out of the cup with the threadbare squad we have.... But.....

That was bad I think we can all agree.

For me I was surprised we did as well as we did last season and expected a dip this season with the outgoings needed to meet FFP.

As it stand we have players on big money who simply aren't worth it for the impact they provide but we can't get rid of as others see they aren't worth it (Wober, Aarronsson, Bamford, Piroe (Not a no9 and never has been at other clubs), Meslier, Firpo (Defensively/Injury wise), Byrams a squad player maybe.....

A lot of the above players are fine for average to decent championship sides, but for the money they're on need to be stars of the championship which they're not.

Gnonto is not a Summerville but is young and not on big money and does offer threat but not as much end product as "lesser" players in the same position i.e. Bergzord offers much more.... Good option and think he will develop his game massively like Summerville with more starts but for the here and now he's got average end product for me.

Saving grace is we do have some very good level players as a base (Ampadu, Rodon (poor start but very good player usually), James, Struijk (as a cb not lb), Rutter (Often very frustrating but on his day unstoppable, not a 35 million quid player at this point), Gruev is a good player, same with Rothwell...... Past this I'm struggling as to who top level champ sides would want in their first team.

Big end to the window..... We weren't good enough end of last season and losing top players that got us to that point and not replacing them.... only one way that's going on the pitch regardless of FFP.

Impact of Orta is still being felt.

It wasn't lack of pace, although that might be an issue, particularly with Wober. it was more an issue of organization and positioning

Just the chant of Leeds are falling apart again...

Not arsed about the cups but the performance was shockingly bad.

Sounds more of a coaching thing than a player one . . .

Bielsa had players like Roberts and Cooper playing with pace and clearly well coached movement

Serving his time like a good manager should imo.

Of course you denigrate Boro there.

It is pace with his tactical approach. We have such a high line that as soon as we get turned over we have issues against a team that breaks with pace.

Too many players that turn like a tanker when we are trying to recover.

Rodon does not look 100% fit to me. I have my suspicions he is carrying an injury.

He has looked laboured in comparison to last season.

Perhaps

But Boro made 7 changes as well, The difference was vast.

Throwing money at the squad is needed but it shouldn't be that much difference between our squad players and Boro.

He looked injured a lot last season.

Towards the end of games he would often be stretching and visibly struggling.

Same vs Portsmouth.

Don't know if anyone saw it tonight if he did it? But he's looked iffy fitness wise a number of times before.
